  1. Nice to see they are finally cleaning up that spot. I guess the homeless will have to find a new home. Plus it seems this will be our mini version of the "High Line". PDF (downloadable)

    Expos de Montréal

It would be like the Expos all over again. When I was younger, my father said this to me once "the Expos is pretty much a MLB version of a farm team".

I did some research on some of the baseball cities in the US. Milwaukee (city) has a population about 600,000 and Pittsburgh (city) has about 350,000. If you end up counting the metropolitan area of both cities, than you have a population of 2,000,000+ people. Thing is I have no idea what the attendance is like for both cities for their baseball games.
  4. R.I.P I met him many years ago at the airport in Toronto. He was a really nice guy.
  5. Crap you beat me to it! Let see who buys and develops on this land.
  6. They should try and shoot for the sky, but we all know people would freak. Seeing it isn't part of the city of Montreal, so it doesn't have to stay below the 225 meter limit. Anyways 16-story condo building in Hampstead would be interesting to see. I just wonder what kind of property taxes they have in mind. Technically it is Senneville. Average Household Income - 2006 1. Westmount - $188,876 2. Senneville - $180,527 3. Hampstead - $173,834 (Actually shows up as $143,000 seeing it seems they factored in a part of CSL. What is interesting, there is only 9 municipalities / cities on the island on the island of Montreal that the average household income back in 2006 was over $100,000. Plus within those municipalities / cities, they have also different household incomes. Westmount still has the highest, with one part of it hitting as high as $556,809 which is an 83% increase from 2001. I can't wait to see the average household income for 2011. If we go by a conservative 15% increase since 2006. Westmount will have an average household income of $217,207. I would try and compare it to US cities, but they do all their numbers with median household income.
  7. (Courtesy of The Globe and Mail) The Globe and Mail They spoke to previous customers of the old establishment and asked how they felt about the new place.
  8. I really cant wait to see this finally get off the ground
  9. Whoops... My bad. I guess combine the two?! Plus who knows, it might actually smell like Venice
  10. (Courtesy of the Montreal Gazette) I know it isn't street food per se but it still sort of counts in my books.
  11. (Courtesy of the Montreal Gazette) I have been wanting to check this place out for 3-4 years now, I should totally go now.
  12. (Courtesy of Food & Wine) Right behind New York on this list Not sure if Vegas would have been a notable mention or not, seeing it is mostly foreign chefs that have restaurants there, but still a great place to eat. Plus I hear now, that Mexico City is a foodie place.

  14. It sucks that DARPA project with the Mach 20 jet or wtv failed today. Montreal to New York in 2 mins (not counting take-off / landing, security checks)
  15. Thanks for that
  16. It looks so weird not having the grocery store there anymore. I should have went in before it was demolished It looks like a nice project though. I wonder if Westmount will ever get another high-end grocery store. I wonder if someone will be bold enough and buy both penthouse units (for a total of approx. $5,274,655) and turn it into one massive unit of 9,512 sq.ft. Plus it would have like 1,712 sq.ft of terrace space. Instead of 19 units it be 18 or turn it into 5 large units
  17. For the love of god, 39% increase. Can there be a project in this province that doesn't have any over-runs for once? How about something we on budget and on time. This is why I like dictatorships, you will everything in your power to get everything done on time and on budget, and if not you are 6ft under. Time for stricter codes. Get it done on time and on budget or have your business seized and your home seized, to try and recover the costs that were lost.

    BanK - 16 étages (2015)

Technically it was the same project. It was supposed to be condo/hotel. I think 221 was the condos and 225 was the hotel. Hopefully we will get more news about this project. Plus if the timetable is for 2013, they should be getting to work soon, no?
