    Bell : actualités

So now that is a whole other story. Who the hell would want their offices on like Nuns Island? Lets see in the West Island, Merck had this huge building built. Now it is like vacant.
  2. This is the entrance of the one being built in Philly or should I say was being built? The one they have planned for Montreal, seems more grandiose. I wonder if the spa will look like the one that is in Maui.

    BanK - 16 étages (2015)

Nice to see that someone is taking over this spot 43 units is a nice size. I hope they will do something over the top with this project. Seeing there is only 1 or 2 condo buildings in Old Montreal / Quartier International that have pools in them. I can't wait to see the design for the BanK. Panzini (Royal Hotel) It seems someone might have forked over the $5.0 million for the building, link. What is interesting, it was first residential then after hotel. Both ideas were from Panzini. I also wonder if Magil will still be doing the construction or they found someone else. Plus I found the consultation firm for the previous project: D.L. Turner Consultants Inc. I did some research, the buildings are owned by: Aquilini Investment Group, they are from Vancouver, but they have offices right next door to this project. Which seems they were the original client from the start, but the info I just got could be wrong. Who knows how often the city of Montreal updates their database for properties in the city.
  4. I can't wait to see the final touch, before they dive into it. I still think it should be called Quartier Shaughnessy over Quartier des grands jardins though.

    Bell : actualités

We lost many jobs to Toronto, but in time we might see them come back. BMO and RBC still have Montreal as their HQ, but they operate out of Toronto. Quebec as a whole, will start flourishing with the next decade or so. One reason I say that, is with Plan du Nord. With that, we will probably see multinational corporations that have their offices in Toronto, actually move them to Montreal. Plus we might actually see the financial sector, move back here also. So Montreal and Quebec lost out to Toronto and Ontario for decades, but we will great once again. One thing, it be idiotic for Bell to move its HQ to Toronto now, after spending a nice fortune on their new campus. We just need people to have faith in this city, even though the infrastructure is collapsing around us. Things will work out in the end. Anywho that is my two cents.
  6. (Courtesy of The Montreal Gazette) :goodvibes: I remember bike riding through there practically every weekend when I was younger. Took a while, but it was a nice ride.
  7. Between all the stops and what not on this line. The train travels at an average of 56 km/h. Seeing it takes 11 hours to get to New York. If they would just speed the trains up to like 150 km/h, it would still take over 4 hours but it be worth it. Plus if the tickets could stay at $124 for the round, that be even better. What would also be nice, being able to clear customs at the train station, like we do at the airport. It would be nice to have at least two departures per day, say like: 8am and 4pm
  8. Jessica Paré Plus I think she even spoke about McGill University in that episode or another.
  9. There is also a few other decent movies that were shot here, but not on sets. - The Jackal - The Art of War - The Whole Nine Yards - The Score - Lucky Number Slevin - Mesrine: Public Enemy #1 - Part 1 (based on a true story) - Eye of the Beholder List of movies It is interesting, how many films are shot in Montreal or Toronto or Vancouver, yet they name it as New York or another city in the US.
  10. Seems like Rogers doesn't want Bell in their building anymore
  11. I wonder if this one will fall behind schedule by like 4 years, just like the Dorval Circle.
  12. It would be nice, but it is for sure not in this provinces price range.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.
  14. That could be feasible. I wonder if MK would start up their own hotel brand or use another chain.
