  1. The crane at the Seville site, supposedly toppled over 10 minutes ago?
  2. (Courtesy of The Montreal Gazette) We live in a modern society, yet we wont have a helipad.
  3. I think I found a way around The Gazettes payment plan. You just need Safari as a browser and click "reader" when the pop up window tells you, you have viewed your allotment of stories for the month and after reader opens the complete article.
  4. Really... they actually changed the design It looks like one of those cheap apartments back from the 90s or something.
  5. I just went through the thread seeing what I missed or forgotten and I saw this. If someone built that back in the 1920s that would have been an impressive building to see today. One thing whoever gets a condo facing Square Victoria going to have a nice view. I wonder how big the penthouses are, seeing all 3 penthouses you have to call to get info.
  6. Crap you beat me to it. I wonder what retail space prices will be like, when more developments go up in Montreal.

Is Michael Cammalleri related to the Rizzuto family. Reason I ask, there is an article in The National Post about the Rizzuto family home, that is up for sale and Rizzuto's wife maiden name is Cammalleri or it is just by fluke they have the same last name?

  9. Thing is The Gazette is owned by Postmedia right? So it is safe to say I can get some of the Montreal news from The National Post if it is big enough. Plus CTV Montreal and CBC Montreal have decent web content. All the best to them. I just wonder how NYT online service is doing since they made people pay to view content. One of the few online content websites I am willing to pay to use is WSJ.
  10. 1 x 22 1 x 13 (should be like 21) 1 x 20 1 x 25 1 x 23 But I guess they made one 13 floors seeing the other office "tower" can get a view of the Bonaventure. In all honestly, this looks like a mini Apple or Google campus. I still like the first proposed one...

  13. It might take 3 years to build it?! So no rail until 2016?! At least it be a year before Montreal 375th birthday.

    La LNH à Québec?

  15. It rolls out in all of Montreal and other areas by 2012. Seeing Fortis bought Central Vermont Public Service and Gaz Metro owns Green Mountain Power Corp. I think Hydro-Quebec should buy one of the last major Vermont utilities; Vermont Electric Coop. With those 3 companies, Canadian companies would own 40-45% of the utilities in Vermont. Interesting thing is 33-50% of the electricity that is used in Vermont still comes from Canada.
  16. I read on wikipedia, that Kansas City, Missouri had the Islanders play a game and half the arena was full. I do hope, that Kansas doesn't get another team. As for Houston it seems like a weird market. Also Seattle or Portland, do they have a big enough hockey community to support a team?
  17. Anyone watch the news conference? Bettman was like the league dislikes moving teams around. It is more like, we (the league) dislike moving teams back into Canada. We would rather move teams around in the US. California Golden Seals -> Cleveland Barons -> Minnesota Stars -> Dallas Stars [Later on Minnesota gets a new team] Kansas City Scouts -> Colorado Rockies -> New Jersey Devils [Later on Colorado gets a new team] Atlanta Flames -> Calgary Flames [Later on Atlanta gets a new team] -> Winnipeg [Atlanta loses hockey twice] It seems like its 15-20 years before a team comes back to a city it left. Hopefully for Quebec, they will be back in soon. I just hope no one in Atlanta dumb enough to try for a 3rd time to get a team there.

  19. Sort of relevant but not. Fortis of Newfoundland bought one of Vermont's largest utilities. I wonder how that will effect Hydro-Quebec. Plus Fortis has a few utilities in the rest of Canada and also the Caribbean.
