  1. This would have been a really nice tower It would have matched the other buildings that were/are going up on the Bonaventure (whenever that happens)
  2. It is coming along nicely. I can't wait to try out the restaurant One thing is the new restaurant replacing "Le Jardin" or there will be two restaurants?
  3. (Courtesy of The Montreal Gazette) I guess that is a step in the right direction
  4. Interesting, not sure if I like this or Tour St-Jacques more.
  5. At least we weren't #1 lol I don't know why I call the Biosphere the American Pavilion. In all honesty, it looks like Epcot, just without the panels.
  6. (Courtesy of CJAD) Now I think that is a first.
  7. I wonder how much it would cost to make something like Norways Helgeland bridge (picture below). It has 12-lanes and it is over 1 km long, it probably cost anywhere between C$62 million - C$132 million to build. True it is 6000 meters shorter than the Champlain.
  8. (Courtesy of the Financial Post) Congrats to the National Bank of Canada. Singapore supposedly like the new Switzerland.
  9. I wish I was able to take pictures of the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the MET, but security was like rabid pit bulls The second day I was there, I ended up walking the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. From there did downtown, filmed Obama motorcade walked on the West side along the Hudson back to my hotel in Time Square (zigzagging down different streets). After that walked from the hotel all the way along the Hudson River up to 96th, to 110th (Oh yah, around this time some women had her wallet stolen, luckily 20 guys from that neighbourhood ended up chasing the kid down.). Walked through the park back to the MET, which is at like 82nd. From there went back to the hotel which was at 47th. Since all that walking, my knees are screwed up One thing, this trip to NY was a disaster but it was still fun.
  10. (Courtesy of HuffingtonPost) Thank you Florida for turning down $2B. Now I hope we can get one of those Amtrak trains from Montreal to New York. One thing Amtrak should have two trains leaving Montreal, one in the morning at like 6 am and one at night (the slower one that takes forever). I would love to see the Montreal-New York route being 4-5 hours (2 hours would be amazing, but thats a dream), instead of 10 hours.
  11. Now that is interesting. How about some roundabouts (virtually impossible) or change the timers off all street lights during different hours of the day. I know some of the stuff I said is off topic, but I can not stand being at a red light at 3 or 4am and I am stuck there for a good 2-3 minutes, yet there is no other cars on the road. Those kind of lights should change every 30 seconds.
  12. So I guess no Bridge for us.
  13. (Courtesy of the National Post) I thought there was a topic on this already I searched and I didn't see anything pop up.
  14. That is what happens when you live in a democratic society. Everyone needs to have their point heard and reviewed at the cost of the tax payers money. Seeing that it is our money, the government doesn't give a crap.
  15. I was reading an article in The Montreal Gazette. We will soon have around 37 cranes in the city, which is the most since we 1967.
  16. (Courtesy of CNW) Also at the start of the summer they should have 50 electric vehicles part of their fleet.
