    On one hand, it looks tiny compared to the neighboring PVM On the other hand, it sticks out from the its other, shorter neighbors. I'm happy to see this project move forward, but i'd much prefer to see it at ~40 storeys (minimum). Still... i'll take 33 over 29 any day! Je crois que la vue depuis Sainte-Catherine et du Square Phillips va être belle! Joli effet escalier vers la PVM!

    Oh, hey, i agree with you there. There's no reason to needlessly prevent Mac users from accessing the site. Support ought to be extended to as many computers/platforms are realistically possible.

    I think it's more important to service the needs of 96% than the needs of 4%, if given the choice. I have an 8086 lying around. I can't run any modern OS on it. Am i to complain as well? No disrespect Newbie, but you sound like a typical Apple-worshiping fanboy I'd also like to point out that nearly all PCs i've used at Concordia are not Macs, and i'm in a design program too. The idea that universities and/or anybody in the arts must use a Mac because it's better... is simply disillusioned elitist-wannabe Mac propaganda. Nevertheless, support for Macs should be made available. EDIT : as you can tell, i don't much like Apple and their products. For the last 15 years i've had to put up with Mac-fanboys that act like elitist snobs just because they have a Mac and think that somehow that makes them better. It's a damn computer, nothing more.

    Grand Central à New York est entourée de gratte-ciels de 50 à 80 étages, et la station est toujours aussi belle et aucunement diminuée par ses voisins.

    Merci cprail!! Hmm. Bien franchement là, je trouve ça acceptable. J'avais baissé mes attentes suite aux nouvelles évocations, mais là je trouve que ça du potentiel. Avec les fenêtres ça devrait être relativement beau. Disons que pour le moment je donne un 6.5/10 avec la possibilité d'aller jusqu'à un 8/10 ou un 8.5/10 une fois terminé. Le faux bois aurait pu être plus beau s'il y avait du revêtement noir, style le campus Longueuil de l'université de Sherbrooke. Mais attendons... c'est toujours très tôt.

The problem is few of them ever take off. Just look at the huge megaprojects of CHUM, MUHC, Griffintown, Quartier des Spectacles, this new transit hub, the Bonaventure project, the officer towers 701 University, 900 Maisonneuve, Cite Internationale II, etc. A lot of good proposals. Some are under way, most are not... but... If the economy really starts going well, we may yet see an impressively transformed city! Croisons nos doigts! It's a curious duality. On one hand, it's easy to find evidence to justify pessimism. On the other hand, there's plenty of evidence to recommend optimism too. Hmm!

    Aha, oui je viens de lire! C'est cool! Mais si les chemins de fer s'arrêtent à Lucien l'Allier, il va quand même falloir marcher de la gare Windsor jusqu'aux rails, à quelques centaines de mètres. C'est le seul détail que je ne suis pas trop sur de comprendre... EDIT : Monctezuma vient de répondre un peu plus haut pendant que j'écrivais! Merci beaucoup! Ah, ça du bon sens là! Tout le reste, wow! Un gratte-ciel de 50 étages usage mixte sur Saint-Antoine/Jean-d'Estrées -- oui SVP! Déveloper le stationnement au sud! oui SVP! Redonner une vie à la gare Windsor! oui SVP! Quelle belle annonce!!

    Hey, this is an inappropriate and unjustified comment. For starters, i'm extremely liberal and left-leaning. I just happen to be conservative on the issue of unions. Unions for skilled jobs, sure. Unions for minimum wage freaking depanneur jobs? That's just silly.

    Pas grand chose, 3% du terrain je crois. Heureusement le referendum de cet été a passé, ouvrant la possibilité à des nouveaux dévelopements, comme celui-ci.

    I've never been a big fan of unions. (I guess i'm not so liberal after all, haha. I do lean right on some issues... and this is one of them.) My view is this: -If somebody wants to work, they can find work. Send 100 CVs to 100 employers you found by searching on the Internet and in classified, and i promise you at least 5 will offer you a job - minimum. I've helped 3 friends find work, it took less than 3 days in all 3 instances. For myself, it took 1 day. If you really really really try hard to find work and devote all your resources to the task, you will find work in a matter of days. Yes there are more people looking for work than there are jobs, but because jobs come and go every hour of every day, if you do it right, you'll snatch one up. -Employer does a service to the community by providing jobs. -Employer has the right to close a store if they damn well please. -Employees make a choice to work at an establishment. If the conditions aren't good, and dialogue with employer doesn't lead to any changes, then employee has the option of quitting. Nobody's forcing anybody to work there. I tolerate unions for certain jobs, but friggin depanneur clerk... come on. Will the paper boy get a union too? How about the child with the lemonade stand?

    Vraiment là, le 2-22 m'impressione de plus en plus. Ca va être top classe! Le seul maudit problème avec ce projet... la seule tache noir... pourquoi mais pourquoi ce mur laid sur Saint-Laurent? Et pourquoi ce "2-22" énorme quétaine? 10/10 pour tout le reste. 3/10 pour ce mur là. Total: 8.5/10

    Extend the metro to the south shore. Much like the NYC subway system, the metro extension could begin underground, transition to above-ground and cross the river via the estacade. The above-ground segments would be enclosed in a simple tube/dome type structure enclosing it and protecting it from the elements.
