    Bell : actualités

Bell's HSPA network online now. Telus is going live tomorrow. Its interesting that Telus got rid of the Government Access fee and 9-11. While Bell still has it. Another note, Bell selling sim cards for $5.
  4. Au Pied de Cochon 536 Duluth Est Montréal (Québec) H2L 1A9 Tél: 514.281.1114 A must try is the PDC Melting Pot, which has a lot of different types of meat from the pig. It is really filling thats for sure. The most well known dish is the duck in a can! I really need to try that out next time. I find it is reasonably priced for something quite unique. Also if you do go, please make a reservation. I will be posting other interesting restaurants later on Also if you like you can post some here also.
  5. I guess we need more business in Montreal for this thing to be built.
  6. Small time movie called ... "Ring of Deceit" was filmed in Montreal, you can see certain scenes of Montreal and after you get a few seconds of shots of Chicago. The house they used in the movie, they used in another movie "Bon Cop, Bad Cop"
  7. La Cantine on Mont Royal between St Laurent and St Denis. As for their claim. I am not sure what they meant
  8. I know my idea is crazy. I just wish back in the day they would have thought of just making both side six-lanes. I know its massive. At least we wouldn't really feel any congestion on the road and even if there was some accidents on the highway, there wouldn't be any gridlock. lanes (left to right) 1 - emergency 2- 100 km/h 3 - 80 km/h 4 - carpool / bus lane / taxi 5 - 60 km/h 6 - on / off ramp for exits (you could still drive on this) Thats my dream for any and all highways on and off the island. Will never happen. Seeing the engineers, planners and who ever else that developed the system here, never planned ahead!
  9. My mother when she heard this. She broke down in laughter. She was like man it sounds like were in Sicily or something. Don't get me wrong. Montreal does have its problems. Not sure how corrupt other world cities are but Montreal still a great place to be. Look at it. Crime is pretty much none existent (murder and so forth) The city does really need to look into the companies they give jobs to and see who they contract, sub-contract and sub-sub contract to. I know its harder than it is. If the city willing to do it, it can be done. Why don't they run a story on how most high ranking officials are corrupt and take money from corporations? Look into how the CRTC regulates stuff. At least or we hope certain city officials will be caught with their hand in the "cookie jar" and lose their job or even go to prison. Thats my 2 cents. As for the article. I wont even read it. Its not even worth my time.
  10. Guess people should move off island. Even though you seem to like the city. They could always move to certain areas of the Island thats not governed by the city. Not sure how these area's fair in taxes compared to Tremblay idea of increasing by 16%.

    Bell : actualités

Bell going to charge $75 to unlock HSPA phones excluding the iPhone. Bastards! Its so funny Rogers going to start selling the Sony X1 for $99.99. Honestly that phone should be $0. Rogers Honestly this should be all across the board and just not for students like me.

    Crime à Montréal

I think crime was huge when we had the biker problem back in the 90s I checked the map for where I live for prostitution I was shocked there was between 1 and 49 cases for the year 2008

    Bell : actualités

Telus getting rid of the 911 fee and system access fee. I can't wait to see the plans on Nov 5th. I might switch to them. I am fed up with Rogers.
  14. I am shocked that McGill was 12th in '07 now its 18th As for school endowments. I was researching that, UoT has the largest endowment in Canada and its 1/40th of what I think Harvard has and it has the same amount of some university I never heard of. Shit even the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia has like 10x the amount of what McGill has and its a new school LOL I checked wikipedia. McGill averages 19th place between 2004-2009. Its tied with Duke and John Hopkins University
  15. Its interesting McGill considered a "public" university of sorts and it beats out some well known private universities in the US I just wonder where Concordia and UQAM would be on this list if it wasn't top 200.

  18. #12. Its a nice spot to eat. Been twice before for dinner I'll have to try for brunch sometime. I really like Holder though for brunch
  19. I hope to see this in Canada soon. Aptera 2h The all electric version 2e needs 13 kWh but only does 160 km. Hydro charges $0.0464 per kWh I think. So it will cost you $0.6032 to charge it up
  20. Here's mine. I took it on the front steps of my place just now. I just felt to weird being at the end of my driveway at 9AM taking photos. I'll be changing it sometime soon. I honestly have to say. Not a lot of trees have lost their leaves.
