  1. This beautiful 1911 building has been under renovation for a year, transforming its 3 top floors into luxurious rental apartments (entrance at 1405 Bishop). The project is called "Bishop Lofts" although these seem like regular apartments. Buffalo Jeans will occupy most of the ground floor retail space, with a Mochico shoe store as neighbor.
  2. Have you read this before? Demolishing Burnside Place to build Boul. de Maisonneuve. You can see the back of 2005-2017 Bishop on the top-right of the second picture. You can also also see what the area looked like in 1947. They tore down tons of buildings to make way for the metro / Maisonneuve.
  3. There's heavy renovation inside and outside of this beautiful old building which now houses Charcos and Smoke's Poutinerie. Condos? Rental? Who knows. At least it's getting a new life. They did a fair bit of demolition to put in windows (and what I assume will be balconies). Here's what it looked like last summer.
  4. Spotted 1160 Mackay under renovation -- upcoming sales office?
  5. Some of the 50s extensions aren't that great, but the 1912 building on rene-levesque must stay. They did a great job in Sherbrooke with the conversion of the old St-Vincent-de-Paul hospital.
  6. WTF @ Canadian Tire... some kind of much smaller version maybe? Without all the power tools and car parts.
  7. Man my camera is terrible. DEMEX: Demolish the old to construct THE FUTURE From what I understand they were also in charge of demolition for the first phase.
  8. Huge banner up since this afternoon (pictures later). DEMEX: Demolir pour construire l'avenir
  9. They put up the notices both inside and outside Provigo this week.
  10. Likely RESO, I'll check it out when I walk back home in a bit.
  11. I don't know what the heck they're doing, but they're assembling some kind of long green metallic structure where they took down the walls.
  12. Laurentian Hotel
  13. Thanks for the great info. Well, this is definitely prime land for a condo tower, but it does blow my mind that they'd wait so long. As far as I know there's nothing special about them that will spark public outrage when (not if!) they go down
  14. They were featured on this Spacing Montreal article not too long ago... I think the sad truth is that unless someone shows up with a lot of money, whoever owns these beauties is just gonna let them rot until the city declares them dangerous.
  15. Lincoln closed between St-Marc and Fort due to strong winds messing up the Chateau Lincoln renovation equipment. That lift (right on top of Jardin du Fort) was dangling something wild!
  16. Cops closed Ste-Catherine between Chomedey and Atwater. Shit's flying off the Seville!
  17. Isn't that dangerous? Especially at Altoria considering one of them can damage the other.
  18. Today's a holiday and no one's on site.... so why has the taller crane been spinning all afternoon long? Almost as if someone forgot to put on the handbrake...
  19. Le Palais des congrès pourra s'agrandir Can someone please explain to me what the bold part means? Are they gonna build the condos, or are they going ahead with the expansion?
