    Je crois que c'est plus une "vision" qu'une proposition... la hauteur est de 217 m ce qui contrevient en maudit au plan d'urbaniste. Bonne chance a faire accepter ca!

    Yeah! St-Joseph du Lac represent! Belle photos...la vue est vraiment à couper le souffle quand on est en haut de la montagne. C'est fous, ça fait 21 ans que j'habite ici mais j'ai jamais entendu parler de ce belvédère. Il est où exactement?

    J'aime comment ils intègrent les vieux édifices... avec du "bloquisme" et non du "facadisme"; ça fait plus naturelle... Si seulement les photos étaient plus grosse on aurait une meilleur idée.

    HASTILY?! There hasn't been any major construction in Montreal for almost 15 years, this area has been a parking-lot filled dump since the 60's.... and they think we should wait longer? What the... This area is a complete mess right now... and there are barely any victorian houses left on that side of Mackay... how can they refuse a project like that? By the way Cataclaw, props to you, you just summed up everything I wanted to say with your pictures.

    Engineering.. I found it strange that we never have classes in the EV, but now we have classes in the business school. But what a nice building, the classrooms are a million times better then in the Hall building. And the chairs aren't squeeky.

    C'est parce que les "hippies" ne chialeront jamais contre un projet comme celui la. En tous cas, ca va faire du bien, c'etait vraiment trop gris et betonneu dans ce coin la. En passant, peut-on considerer ce projet comme etant approuve?

    This anti-capitalist attitude has been well anchored in Quebec for a long time and doesn't just come from the "environmentalist" movement. We're just in a very socialist-y province, just think of how strong the unions are here. It's become nearly impossible for us to attract private companies and it will only get worse.... The population has to realise that the private sector isn't always "evil".

    Remember the early 90's, when almost half of montreal's downtown core was built? But yeah Dinu, thanks to this great plan Sydney has continued to grow while we've stalled. I've agreed with Bumbaru so many times (after all preserving old buildings and keeping a sense of urban planning is sooo important), but then he gets hung up on unimportant projects like these just to get publicity. Did I hear him protest about what they're doing to the Ritz? Or about that abandonned 17th century building (seen in this thread http://www.mtlurb.com/forums/showthread.php?p=65858#post65858)? Nope, but here he is spitting on an excellent project, just because it's (somewhat) in the news. Sadly, he behaves like a politician while we need someone who actually cares about Montreal doing his job.

    En plus, combien de temps est-ce que ca va prendre avant que la constuction du CHUM commence? Va t'on ce ramasser (encore) avec un gros trou qui ne sera pas remplit avant des annees?

    Cet édifice est déjà trop à "l'horizontal", si ils réduisent le nombre d'étage ça va être laid en maudit! Ayoye.... Au moin le projet est pas mort, c'est une victoire moral.

    J'aime bien, la partie en vitre fit bien avec les autres immeubles modernes alentour, et la partie en brique fit avec son voisin a l'ouest. J'avoue qu'il devrait être 3-4 étages plus haut, mais enfin.... c'est pas la fin du monde. J'ai hâte de voir les étages grimper....
