  1. The "for sale" sign is gone. New "Construction" and "Demolition" company signs are on the fence. (I just hope they won't actually tear down the existing structure??) There's a scissor lift as well as an office trailer. I think they popped up over the weekend. Will post pictures tomorrow unless someone beats me to it (please do!)
  2. Those signs have completely been vandalized this weekend. Not just some tagger bullshit either. Fully blacked out. After the burning condos, the war on student residences? Or are things heating up between promoters?
  3. Well all I can add is that they re-painted the steel structure holding the sign at St-Antoine and Square Victoria It was getting a little rusty.
  4. I still can't believe ORO is on its way to completion but Triomphe can't get its shit together.
  5. Any pictures of the area in general? How long ago was this? I'm interested in the next-door building which burned down and 620 St-James.
  6. Nope, this project is slow as molasses. Well, they have until "Fall 2013" for delivery.
  7. 1) Nah, the Notre-Dame Metro is much closer, almost line-of-sight. But you have to cross University, deal with the 720 in/out traffic and that's a bummer. 2) I've been transferring lines for years, during university and now for work. Not a big deal.
  8. I had a near-death experience this morning as a Videotron guy's ratchet fell from 6 floors above, 2 feet in front of me. Put a fucking cone next time, douchebag.
  9. Big sign on front door "Apartments Neufs a Louer" along with a render of the Maisonneuve side. Seemed fully windowed. Didn't have time to take a picture, but looked nice.
  10. I'm sure I've asked this question before but is there a possibility that a second tower could go up on that base? Or have the west-side buyers been guaranteed a view?
  11. Sure thing. At the very least, this'll free up a bunch of ratty Verdun apartments along the 107
  12. I heard about noise and dog-shit-in-hallway problems in the first phase. Confirm/deny?
  13. I hope you're kidding. Don't jinx it!
  14. There's more discussion here. The threads should be merged. http://www.mtlurb.com/forums/showthread.php/21537-Fermeture-du-Delta-Centre-Ville-le-31-Octobre-2013/page4 Also here's a French article from La Presse http://affaires.lapresse.ca/economie/immobilier/201307/09/01-4669134-le-delta-centre-ville-converti-en-residence-etudiante-privee.php
  15. Care to share some more examples? I may try to get a listing going on. LOL, exactly.
  16. Not sure how to feel about this. It's not exactly walking distance to Concordia, McGill sort of, ETS has plenty of residences already. I feel this should be used for something a little more prestigious, like a second Tour de la Bourse. On the other hand it will bring some interesting diversity to the area and will definitely spin off into a grocery store as well as stores that stay open over the weekend and past 5PM on weekdays.
  17. Also, since this is only 10 floors high... half the people won't (ideally) be using the elevators. Either way I'm damn glad my building has 3. But yeah, if anything I would consider the noisy neighborhood as the number one negative with this place.
  18. Here's a picture showing interior renovations. Wouldn't have been able to take that picture earlier as the door was covered in graffiti. Bonus picture: good times on Pierce street, Shaughnessy-style.
  19. Currently there's a Buffalo Jeans clearance outlet until September, when the flagship store moves in. Mochico is alive and kicking (bad shoe pun). As you can see, lofts are now occupied.
