  1. aren't they suppose to be getting rid of the golf course? i heard something like that a few months ago.
  2. man oh man, i'm going to go insane with the damn iphone. switching sim cards is going to be a royal pain! (Courtesy of Rogers) Plus if I read something else correctly, only certain iPhones in Canada for sale can use Rogers voice-data packages on the iPhone, because of the IMEI. If you get like a grey market iPhone, which I am planing on doing, you can not get one of those plans they showed. Plus I need to call up and ask for the visual voicemail #, seeing its quite different then the other voicemail *sigh* c'est compliqué!
  3. i've been checking up on telecoms from around the globe. as of sept 2007 canada had over 19 million people with a mobile carrier, which 7.4 million were with rogers. only other country with something similar was like australia, and they are also getting raped. thing is they might be lucky with 3, which might give them unlimited data, seeing 3 in HK has unlimited data.
  4. thing is, is telus unlimited wap or html? plus i have a feeling bell will screw ppl over with unlimited html but with websites they choose lol
  5. honestly everyone complaining about the plans, just because of the shitty deal we got on data. best bet everyone should just go buy an unlocked version online, it sucks its going to cost a bit more then being stuck for 3 years with a new plan or a plan you already have. at least with the unlocked phone you should be able to get the visual voicemail seeing for some reason it does not use any 2.5/3G data or any minutes, thats if i read the thing on rogers correctly. hopefully between july 11th and july 27th, rogers some how changes the data plans a bit, if not i am going for an unlocked phone from timtechs or puremobile. plus, you can find a few spots in montreal that offer wi-fi anyways. ilesansfils has a ton of places downtown for free wi-fi
  6. big problems now, apple might be pulling a lot of iphones from canada and sending them over to europe.
  7. This is a hotel part of the Luxury Collection (Starwood) in Spain that is one of the most spectacular hotels I have seen to date. I've seen some nice hotels from Thailand and Taiwan. Sucks they wont work here
  8. Trump Hotel-Residence sort iffy on that but what the hell. Every other city on the planet getting one, so why not us. This city needs more people. Actually this whole country needs more people.
  9. christ almighty! why can't shit get done in this province?

    Bell : actualités

I was looking up some of the people who bought Bell. Some of them own parts of different telecom companies in the US.

  13. lol actually probably circus couldn't stand stereo anymore
  14. 1. faulty wiring 2. scotty burn the place down to get money from the insurance 3. scotty pissed someone off royally only 3 things i can come up with right now
  15. AT&T $89.99 450 minutes unlimited data 5000 wknights/wkend minutes unlimited text msg "Finally, AT&T is offering an unsubsidized price of $599 and $699 at a later date as a "no commitment" price for individuals who do not wish to sign a long term contract." (Courtesy of macrumors.com)
  16. with the iphone we can use our current plan and what not, from what i've heard. Plus if you pay over $30/month you can upgrade to the iPhone, but it will still cost you $199-$299. You can use this if you want for another option of the data plan, which is still a rip off. Thing is if you don't have a data-plan with Rogers you are stuck with 0.05$/KB charge. Which really sucks because you use 1 GB you are stuck paying $52k. Either way we are all fucked, if we want internet on the go. I did some more calculations... 400 MB / 720 HRS [24 hrs per day] 0.55 MB/hr 3.92 websites/hr 400 MB / 240 HRS [8 hrs per day] 1.66 MB/hr 11.857 websites/hr 400 MB / 90 HRS [3 hrs per day] 4.44 MB/hr 31.7 websites/hr 1 website/2 mins 2GB / 90 HRS [3 hrs per day] 22.738 MB/hr 162.3 websites/hr 2.705 websites/min 5GB / 90 HRS [3 hrs per day] -hypothetical- 56.845 MB/hr 405.75 websites/hr 6.7625 websites/min 1.127 websites/10 secs
