  1. Gaz Metro lacks vision ... this should have been prevented long ago. Idiots!!
  2. Oh oh, we were blessed with an injury free season, than Komisarek, Koivu and now Streit...
  3. All these residential buildings approved or proposed are great for the city, but I wonder how many of these places have next to full occupancy when we all know that downtowners are heading for the suburbs.
  4. WOW! Very nice, looks like a rendering out of Dubai. I hope this project sees the light.
  5. phew! The best trade Gainey made was making no trade at all and especially with the leafs. Sundin would have never signed with the habs next year and we would have lost Higgins + all these draft choices. In any event, I don<t beleive anything the Toronto Sun writes.
  6. I can't say I'm too thrilled at the future design of the Verdun Auditorium; however, the uniforms look classy and perhaps the best in the league. None of this cheap cartoon characters in the front.
  7. This is the beginning of the end for the Just for laughs festival here in Montreal. First Toronto now Chicago soon New York bye bye Montreal. Rozon should be shot instead of thinking about his wallet. The major stars will now think twice before coming to Montreal.
  8. I'm happy Gainey didn't give the farm for the super playoff choker that Hossa is and for a rental? No way!! Any GM with brains would have never made such a deal. In any event, we can sign Hossa come July and not loose or brak the chemistry of the team. Gainey wants to build a winner from within. that<s how the habs have always done it. They have an amazing amateur draft team that is starting to pay dividends. Gainey is shrewd and knows what he is doing. Pittsburgh just fucked themselves gave up way too much for a rental player. I predict they will become the next Tampa Bay!
  9. What can I say, it was an ESPN Highlight game!! A classic game, the way Hockey is supposed to be played. I'm very proud of this team, the chemistry of this team is jelling at the right moment. IN all honesty, I'm having second thoughts about breaking this team up with a trade. Gainey mentioned that he is looking for an impact player...will this player have a negative affect on this team? Will this impact player take up too much space in this unified team? If they were to make a deal, I would add depth in either the third or fourth lines. I would add more character players. In any event this game was such a confidence builder and what can I say about Kovalev, Komisarek, Begin, Ryder and friends. A huge thank you to the crowd at the BELL Centre for never giving up on this team. The habs fed off on your energy. It was magical.
  10. The Canadiens are playing well because they beleive in each other. The team unity is at its strongest. They will win as a team and they will loose as a team. This is definitely Gaineys team. I hope the nucleus of the team remains intact after the trading deadline.
  11. Well...an almost flawless game for the habs last night. A little lull in the 2nd period permitted the Caps to resurge; however, if it wasn't for the excellent performance of Huet it would have been close. I'm just a tad worried that they are giving up way too many shots on net, otherwise a great performance. I can see Kovalev wearing the "C" next year, with Komisarek and perhaps Hamrlik sporting the "A"...just my opinion. The trading deadline looming in the horizon, I hope Gainey doesn't destroy the nucleus of this team to add experiance. We have just the right chemistry and we're jelling at just the right time.
  12. I lived and breathed baseball from 1969 through their final breath and let me tell you at this point in my life, I couldn't give a rats ass about baseball...from Bud the Thug Selig through the overhype, cocaine induced, steroid injected overpayed athletes! Baseball players and owners are conceited individuals...but than I digress
  13. It will never happen! 5.25 mil is alot of money. I would go for Mathew Lombardi for Ryder
  14. Conducting studies do cost money!! Nothing is free!
  15. I don't get it, what's the issue here? The more manufacturers participate in this tender, than Quebec will come out winners!! The Alstoms and Bombardiers of this world will have no choice but to sharpen their pencils and begin issuing discounts and incentives. In terms of job creation, well if Bombardier wins than their plant in La Pocatiere will reep the benefits, if Alstom wins than their plant in Sorel-Tracy will win.
  16. 10 years ago the downtown area was a baron wasteland of non productivity. Slowly but surely it's finally starting to pick up.
  17. I thought Gillett and partner were still having problems securing the funds to purchase Liverpool and that Dubai Investment were back in the picture to purchase the club.
  18. Not in my lifetime that's for sure. If Corporate Quebec wakes up than maybe...
  19. It was nice to see Kovalev wearing the "C" lat night and played extremely well. Too bad Huet played poorly and that shoot out goal he let in...what was that? His glove hand was made of cement!!
  20. I love the look of this building. It fits well with the surroundings.
