  1. There are lots more pictures on the MTQ site. Updated fairly regularly. http://www.turcot.gouv.qc.ca/NouvellesMultimedia/galeriemultimedia/photosdestravaux/Pages/default.aspx
  2. It's only supposed to be closed for a month or so. Then it will be opened again and a detour will be set up while the St Jacques/train overpass is demolished. From St Jacques south, the road will turn left, and go over the new embankment they have made, then down to where Pullman is now. It will follow pullman to angrignon, via the temporary earth ramps you can see them making in the first picture, and you can take hightway 20 west from the notre-dame enterance. *edit Here is a link to the future detours. I seems there will be a temporary entrance onto Notre Dame as well. http://www.turcot.gouv.qc.ca/travaux/TravauxEnCours/SecteurOuest/Documents/2015-10-05_EntreeSt-Pierre.pdf
  3. In 1846, what was Ottawa street called? Gabriel?
  4. Did the just steal the design from Concordia?
  5. But if they don't destroy the trees in the winter, the blue collars won't have anything work to do in the spring! /sarcasm
  6. Plans aren't always accurate, and the tech that they use to pinpoint the position of cables, gas, bell underground can be off.
  7. They're not the owners of a building, what do you want them to do?
  8. They have started to put the cladding on the main building. It looks ... okay ...
  9. That is the ugliest thing I've seen in m entire life.
  10. The RESO in that building was more or less at ground level. Only when you entered the old windsor station did you go underground into bonnaventure metro. My guess as to what that was, is an old vault. And they were trying to to open/save/dismantle/salvage all or parts of it.
  11. lol no handbrake. They are left to spin in the wind.
  12. Work has "started" already, they are building the new overpass at boul Angrignon.
  13. According to City documents, the buildings are owned by Moses Burak, or Burak Enterprises. If he owns the starbucks too, I don't know, but he owns the entire side of the street after the Spectrum hole.
  14. There is the Adonis being built in Seville.
  15. The best one "surtout ne pas oublié l'oeuvre d'art, trois ou quatre morceau de fer rouillé soudé ensemble une vieille roue de tracteur, le tout un demi milion,."
  16. It is temporary, they will reopen it once the underpass on decarie is reopened. Then Girouard will go back to the old, one-way configuration.
  17. It's good news if they want to develop their land south of the Bell Center
  18. I would imagine you would have to add quite a bit of structure to double to height of a building, it only makes sense. As to what Anderson said, the pace of the project seems off, with little work being done after gutting the interior, maybe now that in the inside is bare, they are working on the extra structure needed. And we just aren't able to see what's going on. Hopefully, fingers crossed.
  19. When coming down Park avenue around Pine, you can just see the top of cement pump poking out from behind the other buildings. That's going to be a nice view when it's complete.
  20. I remember growing up, all the cranes were bright orange. Now they are all blue and white. What happened?
  21. The overpass is not too low, nor did they run out of money, as I have heard other people say. Construction is being held up by the hotel, because it does not want to cede land needed to complete the rest of the road. Every road on the airport property, and over the 520 has been completed for a while. It is now just necessary to connect the two.
  22. I think the project is only to build the road from the 40 to gouin. Not along the whole servitude to connect with the 440.
