    You can't really say that place X is __% warmer than place Y. Weather doesn't work like that... For instance 5c is 41f whereas 9c is 48.2f. Hardly 100% more.

    I tend to think that Quebecers (and also other Canadians), hold our politicians to pretty high standards. I remember watching a news story from France on Canadian politics and they really seemed to be quite impressed with how scandals involving relatively small amounts of money were treated as major news. Things that would be considered major scandals here would hardly show up on the radar over there. Applebaum is merely occused of pocketing in the tens of thousands of dollars, among other things. This would be far from a major scandal in most countries, including the US. What I'm trying to say is that it is a good thing that we have a lower tolerance for slimy behaviour. It means that scandals are more frequent, but also that they are of much smaller magnitude. . Surely Quebec isn't the only place to suffer from collusion in its construction industry, however, we are actually taking the steps to thoroughly investigate the problem. I've heard that similar collusion exists in Ontario, although nobody there is looking into it.

    Peut-être McGill va construire un nouveau bâtiment pour leur école de gestion? Concordia et HEC ont des bâtiments vraiment impressionants, mais le Bronfman Building à McGill est vraiment laid. C'est aussi possible que c'est pour Concordia: le président de Canderel, Jonathan Wener, est également président du conseil d'administration de Concordia.
