  1. Peladeau and TVA Sport no doubt being one of the reasons why the rumour mill on the Expos of late won't die. If they do come back, The old Blue Bonnet grounds would be ideal; however, I hope they change their names and that crazy "clownish" logo.
  2. I must admit I had my doubts but after seeing the latest rendition, I really like it big time! The entrance with the Waldorf crest is fantastic!
  3. I agree having goons in your team during the play-offs is a waste but Biggs is no goon. The guy can play hockey. However, to reach the play-offs you have to play 82 regular season games and you definitely need big bodies to protect our small talented players.
  4. it's about time, we need a lot of catching up!! My wife, son and I bumped into Bradley Cooper, Julia Roberts and her husband and the twins the Thursday before the Grand Prix at Oliver & Gourmand for brunch. Pretty cool to see these stars up here.
  5. Is it just me but does anyone else out their believe that Pierre Gauthier can not think outside the box when drafting and/or making trades!? We had an opportunity during the draft to pick Tyler Biggs whom numerous scouts compare him to Milan Lucic and who drafts him the Maple Leafs!! I do like the Nathan Beaulieu pick-up but could we not have come up with a package of some sort to get a second pick. When I look at the trades completed before and during the draft, I just shake my head. Now, come on, you mean to tell me we could not have offered Columbus a 3rd round pick for Nikita Filatov?? I could name many more but I begin to palpitate!! Also, the Habs have to be the only team in the NHL where the head of scouting Trevor Timmins is not allowed to speak to the media, this is s absurd it's beyond comprehension. Especially during draft week-end!!This Ottawa Senators click in the front office is driving me nuts.
  6. I'm sorry, i never got into it nor do I intend on watching let alone attending a Lacrosse game.
  7. That's $88,000.00 of pure wasted money!! All they need to do is wear ear plugs ($2.00) and presto same fuckin effect!
  8. Congrats Als! You made us proud. This team has persevered through thick and thin (on and off the field) they are managed by bright football people but most of all fantastic human beings...from Wettenhaul to Popp to Trestman etc etc... I don't know how Popp does it year in and year out to go out and scour America's badlands and sign football players. His draft record is quite impressive. Landing local, Canadian and American talent is impressive indeed. Landing Trestman was a real cuop! Again, you made us proud, Congrats!! A speedy recovery for Calvillo. We need you calling the signals next year!
  9. Boy...this is really nice! I like it alot. Black and grey is classy, I wouldn't change a thing. I'm impressed, speechless actually.
  10. Compared to Vancouver and Toronto, Montreal lags far behind in terms of landing Hollywood type productions. Now, on the local scene, Quebec production has never been so prosperous with Quebec made films garnering so much attention worldwide.
  11. I like Toronto for what they are doing in urban development, but this attitude of we're the centre of the universe and all good things must pass through us first ticks me off to no end.
  12. Despite the loss, I thought Subban was awesome!! Gionta missed two golden opportunities early in the game in front of the net and could not pull the trigger without hitting a skate or something...his time will come, he's working extremely hard.
  13. Wow! That's really nice. I can see this type of design on Nun's Island.
  14. Wow, that's really nice! I love the front end but most of all the simplicity and color on the inside. Good job.
  15. Great answer Habfanman; however,Toronto does close their streets, you just have to look at none other than the MMVA "Much Music Video Awards"
  16. I've been saying all along to MtlUrb and was criticized for it that Montreal will loose in due time most of their festivals. Our pacifistic attitude in conserving events is problematic. We just simply shrug our shoulders and say, so what!! I'm not going to loose sleep over it!! We all want to make a buck and I understand that, it's human nature but for God's sake, this is your city, Montreal is a vibrant cosmopolitan city with a plethora of events to wet all our pallets, but I fear and in reading the comments off this thread which sickens me to no end, our "who cares", "so what" attitudes will cost my favorite city the stature that it once had. Hey...but that's just me, I care, I really care....
  17. Wow! Very nice. DO we have a photo of the surroundings taken this summer. The photos provided by Monteczuma although spectacular is somewhat dull and grey. A little more color would be nice to show the full impact of this beautiful area.
  18. I would love for Virgin America to have Montreal as one of their destinations. That's an awesome airline.
  19. I will be very surprised if Dan Ellis ever wears a Habs jersey!! I beleive this is a one-for-one deal Boyd for Sergei. Mathew Lombardi is a free agent, a Montrealer, let's sign him!!
