    The full stadium during the time of the Olympics could hold 72,000 + ...during David Beckhams / LA Galaxy game at the Big 0, I believe we hit 67,000 with added stands and seats, that was pretty much a full house.

    Montreal expecting anywhere between 55,000 - 58,000 for their return leg scheduled April 29. This was confirmed by Joey Saputo on TSN690 yesterday morning.

    In terms of atmosphere, I agree, it was magical; however, in terms of quantity of people, I was disappointed. We need to show more support. I believe there has been only 1 North American team from MLS other than the Impact to have gone this far. This is a milestone. The people here do not understand what CCL means. These are not friendly games here. If we win in Costa Rica, we will play the winner of Club America from Mexico or Heredia from Costa Rica. The winner of that series will play against the big European clubs, the Real Madrids, Bayern Munich, Juventus, etc etc... the exposure itself will catapult Montreal into another level. Alujuelense is an inferior club to Pachuca technical wise. The liga MX (Mexican league) is a superior league to that of Costa Rica. However; because this is a series based on agregate, anyone on any given day can beat you. This is what makes this tournament so special. DC United got manhandled in Costa Rica because there #1 goal keeper was still injured and had to use the back-up and got lit up. DC United won their game at RFK but because Alujuelense put 5 goals passed them they won on agregate. All I'm saying, if we get passed Alujuelense next week in Costa Rica (It's going to be tough playing there) than we need to show huge support for this team. We want the opposing team to feel intimidated when they come play here.

    Honestly, somewhat disappointed at the attendance last night. 33K is good but was expecting 42K+ considering, no snow snow, temperature was ideal, no habs game...so yeah, very disappointed. If we go into the next round, there better be 55K in the stands!!

    When in heaven's name will a Panzini project ever come into fruition? We need more of his "outside the box" renderings than the prefab shit we're so commonly used to.

    If we're talking outside investor such as Roger's greatest foe (Bell Media) than we might stand a chance. As far as local business man, forget it. Not one local business man wanted to buy the most prestigious hockey club in the World (Montreal Canadiens) when they were worth a spit in the bucket. What makes you think they are ready to dish out a billion plus dollars for a baseball club.

    Folks...give it up. Baseball will not come here. There is not one local businessmen dumb enough with deep pockets that can make this happen. It's a loosing proposition. Why are we digging up the dead. Have you seen the latest contracts that are being awarded to marginal players?? It's obscene. The dollar at 0.90 cents and sinking, the flippin taxes, the unstable political climate, the economy, etc etc...

    I actually remember that time. I remember those crazy interviews he had with Anne-Marie Losique of Musique Plus. Anne-Marie sitting on his lap conducting the interview. You could tell he was a little wasted and of course the loopy Anne-Marie giggling all over the place when Affleck was trying to talk in french...it was quite hilarious. They've had numerous interviews after that and all just as crazy.
