Il y avait des arpenteurs sur le site la semaine passée. D'ailleurs je travaille au 2045 Stanley, je vais être aux première loges pour prendre des photos de la construction si ça lève.

Je crois qu'ils démolissent de façon LEED, alors il doit y avoir pas mal de gossage et de niaisage avec la récupération des matériaux et tout. -
Il va y avoir une conférence de presse conjointe du Maire Tremblay et de la Ministre de la Culture lundi le 26 octobre, ça sera surement pour souligner la première pelletée de terre!

Surement mais de la à dire que le TGV va pouvoir être utilisé comme un train de banlieue j'ai des gros doutes...

Surout ridicule au niveau des coûts, ça va coûter un bras faire la navette 5 jours semaine en TGV entre TR et Mtl.

Oui ça je le comprends, les unités ne s'envoleront peut-être pas toutes 1 semaine après la pré-vente mais de là à dire que les valeurs vont baisser...

Encore des retards... Sale of Ilot Voyageur Blocked According to Les Affaires, the saga of the Ilot Voyageur continues to drag on. Last June, the rector of UQAM, Claude Corbo, ensured that its sale was imminent. However, three months later, the central bus station in Montreal blocked an agreement for SITQ to buy the site that’s been abandoned for the last two years. SITQ is now alone in the race to buy the building under construction at the corner of Berri and Ontario. SITQ has confirmed that they want to build offices, although no further details were provided. An agreement was reached between SITQ, Busac (the owner of the site) and the Government of Quebec. But on September 22, the Central Station, now holding a 15-year lease with Busac, sent a letter to SITQ asking for "firm commitments on a firm project before initiating any discussions," said Gilles Corriveau, a spokesman for the tenant. "For now, there is nothing concrete. SITQ has not made any commitments,” he said. They told us "We'll patch up some small things and you go back there." The Central Station would like to know how access to the metro will be constructed. "This is critical for a service like ours," said Corriveau. In addition, residences and a floating garden were to be constructed above the station, but these plans were abandoned two years ago, when a financial scandal erupted at UQAM. Result: portions of the bus station do not have a permanent ceiling where the towers should be built. Water has also seeped into the building since 2007. The Central Station wants to know when the temporary structures that currently protect the future station will be replaced with permanent materials. The company is also seeking guarantees as to the solvency of the building owner in the event SITQ it departs following the buy-back. SITQ vague "The Ilot Voyageur is a complex project. From our side, it’s nearly impossible to specify all the parameters," said Amelie Plante, a spokeswoman from SITQ. She confirmed that the letter where Central Station requires a clear plan before giving its approval for the sale of the Ilot is "part of the discussions" that management of the Caisse is having at this time. UQAM refuses to comment on ongoing negotiations. "The announcement will be made by the Government of Quebec," said Francine Jacques, a spokesman. According to Catherine Poulin, press secretary to the Finance Minister, Quebec is not yet ready to make an announcement on this issue. The Government will have the final say over any agreement, since it has reserved $200 million in trust since November 2008 to enable UQAM to pay interest on the controversial loan that was used to finance construction of the Ilot Voyageur. Le Fonds de solidarité FTQ had expressed interest in buying the Ilot a few months ago but is now no longer in the race, admits a spokesman for the organization. As for Desjardins, who had been interested in consolidating its employees, they’ve also backed out. "The Ilot Voyageur is not part of our plans,” said spokesman André Chapleau. Real Estate fiasco The original project, a public-private partnership with Busac was to include space for the University, student residences, offices, bus station and parking. The Auditor General found last year a large number of irregularities in the negotiation and financing of the project. He blamed Busac and the administration at UQAM, more specifically, former Rector Roch Denis, former Vice-President Mauro Malservisi and former Director of Investments, Nicolas Buono. -

C'est bien beaux tout ces projets de tour, mais ce qui va vraiment décider de la vitesse à laquelle ça va se faire c'est justement la demande pour occuper ces tours. Si c'est pour des espaces à bureaux je crois qu'on peut reléguer ce projet aux oubliettes pcq les loyers marchands ne justifient pas la construction de nouvelles tours en ce moment. SITQ/Hines, Magil-Laurentienne et Canderel ont tous des projets en pre-leasing ce moment et sont incapables de trouver un locataire pour lever leur immeubles. Si c'est du résidentiel fine, mais me semble que la Ville devrait pousser sur un projet d'envergure à la fois et mettre tout ses oeufs dans le même panier. Et en ce moment le projet le plus avancé et qui mériterait le plus d'être réalisé est selon moi Griffintown.
