  1. Those look like prefab concrete panels The reason why they haven't installed the edge panels is simply because they are the hardest to install given the fact that all the other panels have already been installed and they won't "fit" as easily. Normally, these panels have to be cut to the exact on-site dimensions of the remaining opening rather than using the dimensions listed on the architectural drawings. If every other panel installed is even 2mm too big, it adds up when you get to that final panel. In extreme cases, every single panel has to be adjusted and re-installed for the final panel to fit. The same principle applies to curtain wall installations. Hope that helps
  2. I went on a tour of the Deloitte building here a couple of weeks ago (with someone I know) and while the building may not be as "green" as the one in Amsterdam, the office concept of "no set workspace" is exactly the same. You have to reserve your spot via an app and no one has precedence over anyone else (a junior auditor and the VP's have to battle it out on an even playing field haha). They also have MANY different types of working spaces, including a few treadmill desks! Most importantly though, the bathroom doors open with a wave of your hand so you never have to touch them
  3. Renovation work at Laurier metro from June 6th to December 22nd Deadline for submissions is March 10th
  4. Si c'est bien le cas, mes excuses Rocco! Tu as raison et je suis entièrement du même avis
  5. L'expertise du Québec??? The CHUM was built by a consortium led primarily by OHL (Spain) and Laing O'Rourke (England) whereas the MUHC was built by SNC-Lavalin....

  8. Fiorellino is actually already open, I was there last Friday night. The pizza was OK (good dough and toppings, bland sauce) but the ambiance really leaves something to desired (lighting was too bright and the space just felt cold) Would I go back? Probably not given how many excellent pizza places we have in this city. PS Prices were actually not too bad and the menu isn't very extravagant (4-5 antipasti's, about a dozen pizza choices, 4-5 pastas and dessert)
  9. In english it's called a "slurry wall"
  10. Sorry! The pictures didn't upload properly and I was too lazy to edit haha
  11. December 18th 2015 - not really YUL but this thread needs some love
  12. December 18th 2015 Lots of action in the new Bombardier store! They had a full bar setup inside the store and lots of table settings towards the back. I'm guessing it's for the official launch either tonight or tomorrow night.
  13. I've lived in the area my entire life and used to ride my bike through those fields all the time. As long as they stay away from the wooded area bordering Timberlea, losing this "green space" is really not a big deal (it's mostly just tall grass and swampy areas). I can also tell you, from personal experience, that the proposed north-south boulevard urbain is MUCH needed. If this development gets it built, I'm all for it.
  14. Like I said back in August, I was told the final height would be 187m... Not 183.8m I guess we'll have to wait and see
  15. Your cousin is right Marty. There are quite a few renovation/upgrade projects currently in the pipeline for PET
