  1. (Courtesy of The Montreal Gazette via. The National Post When will people learn, never leave stuff in your car?!
  2. If only lol I have a feeling it can do Montreal-Miami in 16 hours (max) with stops in cities. That be like 9 hours less than driving but 13 hours longer than a flight.
  3. Its weird I know. The first one doesn't show Montreal-Albany yet the second map shows Montreal-Albany. I emailed the people who run the website and asked them why there is two different maps. Seeing both are quite identical other than Montreal connecting to Boston in one and the other Montreal connects to both Boston and Albany.
  4. I am surprised I never knew about this project until today. Its quite something.
  5. Its not all that bad Toronto-Buffalo-Rochester for 2020. They still have to wait until 2025 to be connected to Albany-New York. At least Montreal-Albany-New York is all in one shot by 2025. I would hate to be on that train from Toronto. So many stops compared to Montreal.
  6. Thats so far the only thing I have yet to find online or any where. The range cant be effected by more than 10% but I can be wrong. Guess were going to find out when someone gets their hand on an EV and tests it out in our frigid winter. As for the tax on gas / tax on electricity for the car. I guess they can charge an extra few cents per kWh at the charging stations around the city, guess time will tell. As nuclear-fusion if only that would happen. Our best bet is mining the moon for Helium-3.
  7. Still beats paying for gas lol True the EV cars will cost more at the start. What would you rather do, pay less for a car that uses gas and pay a ton of money for the gas or pay more for a car that runs on electricity and costs nothing to charge? Tesla Model S (starting US$57500) Range is around 260-482 km. The price is similar to a Lexus GS450h. Toyota RAV4 EV (powered by Tesla Motors) No picture yet. It debuts at the 2010 L.A Autoshow and should be on the market by 2012. Aptera 2e (approx. US$40k) Not sold in Canada yet.
  8. Thats interesting. I just wonder how much they will charge a kWh on top of paying for the parking space It would be nice to see this happen in the city, guess it will only happen when more cars will have a plug in feature. Plus I wonder how much Hydro will charge, seeing its like 5 cents a kWh or something, that they charge for residential use of electricity. Ahh... I just read the whole article. Paying yearly for unlimited charging is amazing at $161. At that price with our rates its like 3,220 kWh. If I am doing the math correctly, EV's can go 5 kilometers per kWh which is like 16,100 kilometers.
  9. One thing I just noticed... Place de la Cite International - Phase 2 isn't in this video. So I guess it isn't going up in 2012-2013 lol To bad the creator of this video didn't put names to show which project was what. There is one near Notre Dame Basilica and I have no idea which one it is.
  10. Nice find What would be awesome if someone can put together all the projects and show what Montreal will look like by 2025.
  11. From what I read from other news agencies and Ogilvy Renault website, its a merger.

I can't wait! I got my ticket for the midnight showing.
  14. There was some protesting yesterday about the new plan for the Turcot. It does suck that people will be forced out of their homes, but more homes (i.e apartments) will be built when the project done. Hopefully those people can find a decent place for rent or move to another part of the city.
  15. Can't wait to see these in person I just hope they don't get vandalized. If they do and someone gets caught, that persons family should have to pay for the cost of the repairs or if the family unwilling to pay, the person has to work for the STM until the debt paid (i.e free labour).
  16. I just checked and the answer is no. He's in 22nd place, 1st place went to Ellen MacArthur. Thats with the older car. After he came back and was in another car and is currently in 7th place.
