Frustrated by how difficult it is to contact Montreal's 311 service, a couple of friends and I have built this handy web app: chermtl.ca It works on desktop and on mobile. This is not a for profit project, but simply our proposed solution to what we see as a very outdated system. We take care of bundling up and forwarding reports to different instances of the city's boroughs using a partially automated system. Please give it a try and let me know what you think

Posted Apr 13th 2009 6:02PM by Jared Paul Stern Filed under: Estates A mansion in London's posh Belgrave Square has hit the market for £100 million, or about $150 million, tying it with Candy Spelling's The Manor in Beverly Hills for the title of the world's most expensive estate (in terms of current listings). The six-floor, 21,000-sq.-ft. white-stucco-fronted building has 12 bedrooms, 20-ft. ceilings, a basement swimming pool, gym, media room, and every imaginable luxury fitting. The property has been gutted and revamped by Lebanese developer Musa Salem, the London Times reports.

(Courtesy of The Guardian UK) I wonder if anyone from the PQ or BQ heard or read about this Probably not seeing they dislike the English language. So I guess Canadian / Quebec history is safe for now, until one of them comes out of their narrow-minded shell and sees this

(Courtesy of Huffington Post) Honestly some of the comments about the topic is beyond stupid. Some people don't want to move to Canada seeing we are seen as a "socialist" country

It’s déjà-vu all over again. With the market updates being so identically close to the ones from November and December, January’s market news are no news at all. Still, let’s give the breakdown, to keep the tradition. Here we go: Compared to January 2008, last month we had an increase of 12% of properties listed in the market. New listings decreased by 14% Overall actual sales decreased by 37% Prices are still increasing: Condos: +4% Single Family Homes and Plexes: +3% If you take a look at the past reports you will see that not much has changed. The prices have not

Canada is the center of the world. You didn’t know that? Oh, yeah. See, your trouble (as always, I address the mirror) is you’ve got Mercator’s projection in your mind—which tells you nothing about the way things really are: It was invented in 1569 for sailors, who couldn’t conveniently fit a globe—the very idea of a globe was new then—into the situation room. And despite the fact that it’s so distortive it’s the icon of news programs, weather reports, travel agencies, Google Maps—it’s our image of what the world looks like. Plus sur le Canada, le Québec, le froid de cet écri

While researching 1800 Rene-Levesque, I ended up on this blog Avant l'autoroute, which focuses on life before the 720, particularly around the western part of downtown and St-Cunegonde / Little Burgundy. There's plenty of in-depth reports on forgotten and little-known areas & buildings such as Square Richmond, Belmont School as well as tons of old churches. Is Richard Labrosse a member here?

As The Hill reports, Royal Jordanian posted on Twitter Monday that “following instructions from the concerned U.S. departments, we kindly inform our dearest passengers departing to and arriving from the United States that carrying any electronic or electrical device on board the flight cabins is strictly prohibited." http://www.zerohedge.com/sites/default/files/images/user3303/imageroot/2017/03/15/20170319_jordan.jpg
