It is... but the path is complicated and very long (not direct at all).

$29.3 million is dedicated to build a new structural and functional genomics centre to support basic and applied research on crop improvement and sustainable biotechnology. It will be housed in a new wing of the Richard J. Renaud science complex.

 

I talked to some operations people today and construction will begin in two weeks and be finished by March 2011. The extension will be located here:

I pass by this area a few times a week and I can't wait to see what it will look like this summer! There has been a lot of progress!

I can't wait until they finish renovating the GM building. It will be nice to see it as an all glass building.

i just passed through there yesterday - it's incredibly lively. the two new glass buildings they've built in the past 5-7 years or so really tie everything togheter imo. i'm not sure what they're planning to do with that little "square" in the middle with the statue, but if it's nice, and if that waldorf hotel eventually pops, it will certainly be one of my favorite intersections in all of downtown!

I always felt that area reminded me of Vladivostok on a bad day. Not that Vladivostok ever has any good days.
