  1. I have the same question. I can only assume it's a simplified render of the Wilder complex.
  2. On a related note tonight I read this series of articles about the Lasalle Loop.
  3. Un investissement de 40 M$ de Vidéotron à Montréal Look at that nice garden soil dumped on artificial grass with some brand new 10$ shovels from reno depot. Shameless! What, no hard hats this time?
  4. Let's just be thankful that the Jardins Windsor will no longer be visible from this angle when Tour Des Canadiens 2 goes up.
  5. I also think it's a shame. But if you look at everything else that was destroyed on that block, it's surprising this one lasted as long as it did. Here's the Saint-Jacques / Notre Dame area west of McGill back in 1963. Before the parking lot revolution. Look at these absolutely stunning buildings on Notre-Dame that are ALL GONE today. The only one that remains is the Pub Victoria building.
  6. Sur le marché: un été mouvementé Great success!
  7. September 15th 2015 Notre-Dame side. Fourth and fifth floors going for that old school look. Very cool.
  8. You were told right. Demolition has begun today. September 16th 2015
  9. WTF at putting a park through a street. It shouldn't even connect. It won't be a matter of IF but WHEN will a child be run over by a car. At the very least I'm hoping for some massive speed bumps in the middle. BTW the "La Vie" project behind Place Lasalle kicked it into high gear last night with delivery of a couple more pepines. They're late (was supposed to be Fall 2015 delivery) but at least something's happening. Also new development corner George / Champlain, looks like at least a dozen units in 5 or 6 townhouses. This entire building and this garage have been razed. Name is "Domaine du Canal", no website.
  10. Reminds me of 175 Metcalfe in Westmount.
  11. You call 311 immediately, 911 even. Teach them a lesson.
  12. Nice site. So Jack's Parking is no longer in the way?
  13. That white square says "QUAD", sorry about the bad picture quality.
  14. Another great upcoming restoration along Verdun's main street. As of September 2015: The Baptist Church had been there since 2002 and moved out on July 5th 2015. Bye bye silly blue panels. June 2015: Perhaps Uniprix can follow suit and restore their facade at 4470 Wellington. I think this used to be an arena of some kind, or a boxing gym?
  15. August 27th 2015 Spoke too soon, definitely not a completed project yet.
  16. August 27th 2015 You can't tell from the picture, but there was demolition going on inside the old buildings.
  17. September 9th 2015 QUAD is advertising in the metro
  18. can anyone dig out the approved plans?
