The ongoing escalator replacement is going well, the top floors have new ones (12, 11, 10, 9) and now there are working on the bottom levels.

The crane is lifting one end, what was the other end sitting on? I doubt they dragged it across the floor.

Faubourg Building re cladding has started.

 

 

Also the were installing the new street lights in front of the library building on de maisonneve last week and are starting to redo the sidewalk and finish the bike path.

This re-cladd building was built in 1987, only 25 years ago and already redoing the brick?! How cheap was it build? My apartment building is over 50 years old and the same bricks are still in place.

I heard that they are going to expand the downtown library. I think about time!

you mean explanding the library building somehow? or just some sort of internal expansion of the library holdings or re-orientation of library building space?

Probably re-orientation of the space. It is the only way I can see it, currently the library is floors 2-4; so maybe it will take more floors in the same building.

Concordia also bought the building between the Grey Nun`s mother house + Forburg. So this means they have the entire island.

 

I am so excited, we would finally have a green space for the campus!!!

hopefully, you all take the library renovation opportunity to re-clad that sucker, yow. how's the maisonneuve street improvement going down there, haven't been yonder in ages?
