    It is to bad they didn't use less bricks. It would have been interesting to see stone for 2 floors, the rest in wood and the top all in glass.

    Someone should bug Saputo to see if it be viable to build the extension now. It would have been an amazing Art Deco building.

    I am super excited to see how that whole area will change within the next decade. I wonder if people will call it "Old Port East" or "Neighbourhood Molson"

    That be such a great system. Something like this, would probably get people to forget about driving and take public transit. It would help with movement of people.

    Yes, it be great for economy, but still bad for the environment. QS would lose their shit and probably the Liberals, too. As a customer I would have to spend money to convert my system from oil to natural gas, it would be a while before the system pays for itself.

    If the CAQ wants more people to vote for them, they might have to bite the bullet and be open to building the pink line or something close to it, but that is just me.

    They should really get the St Jerome line to stop at Canora and have people switch to the REM and get to the city even quicker.

    Merci pour cette info. Henri Bourassa might be the best option, I never seen traffic on it in the morning, could be a 25 min commute. They might need an express bus every 3 mins in rush hour to match the amount of people fit on a train. (Pulling that number out of my ass)

    I am waiting to hear what they will do for the Roxboro and Sunnybrooke passengers. Express bus and Express bus lane on Gouin to Cote Vertu? It will hit heavy traffic right after Sunnybrook because of the lights so close together, schools and people getting onto the service road. After that people crossing a solid line trying to get to Collège Sainte-Marcelline. It would take 30 mins or so for that kind of commute and after 28 mins or so by metro. 58 mins for something that use to take 25 mins or so.

    Hopefully in the future, they will think about adding the 13/Gouin stop just for transferring people, so they do not need to get off at Bois Franc and go back in the direction they want to go in: Deux Montagne or West Island. The same for the people from West Island and Deux Montagne that want to go to the airport. I am thinking of this only out of convenience.

    I was laughing through the whole thing. She managed to get the VMR/TMR and Carbonleo to pause this project within weeks of starting the demo of some buildings, yet cannot force CSL and CN to do anything about the north / south extension of Cavendish, which would help a bit with the traffic around 520 and 40/15. I know they are working on a bypass now, that would be connecting Blue Bonnets and CSL, but that doesn't help the city of Montreal, it helps CSL! She better also fight for the Cavendish extension in its entirety. To me it makes sense to have a better flow of traffic in all areas, the faster you get to where you need to go, it will reduce the time you are in your car, which in turn burns less CO2. Sitting in traffic doesn't help. It is bad for the environment and our health. So please Valerie Plante, if you do force Carbonleo to do some modifications, you better force CSL and CN to do the same. /end -rant

    It be like a 12-18 km tunnel. Probably take 8-11 years to build. It shouldn't cost more than C$2.3B (C$85M per KM), based on the number I found for a 27 km tunnel being built in Norway below the sea. Have a toll system setup (1-way fee, daily fee, monthly fee), which would force people to either take public transit or carpool or find an alternative to get to where they are going, which would put pressure on other roadways.

    If the mayor really wants the pink line, she better start a Gofundme page, because the Pink Line will only happen in 30+ years from now. Look how long it took to get the go ahead to extend the blue line.

    Another one bites the dust. Better move it to the cancelled area, we all know the city loves to kill projects or stall them for 40+ years.
