  1. I cannot stand their format. It seems they write for people with short attention spans.
  2. Too bad they did not put the new Banque National tower in the same rendering.
  3. Sounds like the only way the pink line would see the light of day under the CAQ is converting Exo 5 (already pink) into REM 2 and the other stations part of the pink line can be a tram
  4. It looks like a really good project. I have a feeling, more parts of Plateau / Mile End will slowly see this type of design. Give it a more modern, yet European feel.
  5. It does not make sense that part of the Sunnybrooke track wont be raised. It would make Sunnybrooke road / Gouin inaccessble, because of the frequency of REM cars going back and forth.

One thing, I always thought the yellow line should be extended to McGill or Concordia and all the way up to UdM. So it could be the higher education metro line.

It would be amazing to have a transit system like this in the Greater Montreal Area, but probably only be possible between 2050-2100.
  8. I can agree with you there. In the past year or so, the "home hardware" type store on Gouin closed and that has a lot of space to be developed. I just do not know if a developer would want to work there, since next door is apartment buildings and across the street you have houses. Plus more west towards Sources, there is a little strip mall that many stores closed because of the construction.
  9. I know it is a few years away, but I am looking forward to seeing what it will look like. I have a feeling they will close Rue du Centre Commercial and 11th Avenue. I just wonder for how long. Also I do hope they fix how the streets are arranged, but that is up to the city or at least extend the platform, so people can cross the road without worrying about getting hit by a car. Blue = Parking lot Red = Location of stop signs Blue line = Current tracks on road
  10. This was probably proposed before. If Legault doesn't want to fund the pink line, how about convert the current Mascouche line to something like the REM. It could the alternative pink line, that is already pink.
  11. This might be a good area to have an investment property.
  12. Thanks for putting all these developments into one thread.
  13. I might do the same thing in my backyard in a few years. Hopefully it will help with the resale value.
  14. It is to bad they didn't use some of the land for some sort of housing. It is to bad the original idea wont see the light of day, but this is still good. I don't think the Blue Bonnets would be completely turned into a park, since it is in the middle of no where. That area is prime for condos. True, the residents of the Triangle could go there, but I think they would rather take a bus or metro to the mountain. Also the city/government spent money making a "central park" near Papineau, which will be completed by 2023.
  15. Construction only going to start in 2 years. Oh well, at least it will get built.
  16. It will be a nice reno / facelift.
  17. I am looking forward to the end result. I really do hope they work on traffic management.
  18. It looks really nice and reminds me a bit of the food court that I saw in Jakarta.
