montréal STM: Prolongement de la ligne 05 Bleue vers l'Est

Je ne sais pas à quel point c'est sérieux, mais j'ai eu une "annonce" d'infographie Québec où il était mention des futures noms des stations de la ligne bleue. À ma connaissance, tout ça est très hypothétique, mais ça demeure intéressant!

I grew up in Saint Leonard and went to university downtown. I used to take the Lacordaire bus to Cadillac metro to go downtown. Why would anyone from Saint Leo not continue doing this route, even with the blue line? The way I see it, doing it that way means one transfer, whereas, using the blue line means 2 transfers.

I have no doubt this extension will bring more people to the Orange line. However, I just wanted to point out that perhaps many people will just continue taking the bus to the Green.

Allons-y pour le nom des stations dans ce cas!

Pie-IX : Je n’ai aucune objection. Cependant, il me semble que l’ancienne station Pie-IX pourrait devenir la station Parc Olympique, il y a en plus la présence de très beaux anneaux à l’intérieur de la station ce qui ferait du sens. La station est aussi à l’angle de l’avenue Pierre-de-Coubertin, donc c’est bien.

Bélanger? Forte objection ici, la station ne se trouve même pas à l’angle de Bélanger, ça ne fait aucun sens. Pourquoi cette station ne se nommerait pas Viau? L’ancienne Viau pourrait ainsi devenir la station Parc Olympique!

Lacordaire : Parfait!

Félix-Leclerc : Il est quand même loin le parc Félix-Leclerc (entre Bélanger et Beaubien). Reste que c’est une belle façon de rendre hommage à un grand personnage. Ainsi, la vieille station Langelier garde son nom. Mais le parc est loin.

The same logic applies today to people living close to Saint-Michel boulevard!

L'actuelle station Viau pourrait être renommée Biodôme. L'appellation Bélanger ne fait aucun sens.

Wow! Pour «Félix-Leclerc» et «Pierre-de-Coubertin» c'est exactement ce à quoi je pensais!

J'aurais seulement préféré «De Cannes» à «Bélanger» pour la station au coin de Viau.

I guess you are referring to McGill Uni (because UQAM and Concordia will be two transfers away, with the Blue and then Orange line). So for McGill, you'll be two transfers away with the REM (blue line and then REM to McGill station, which is probably quicker than bus + green line).

Reread what I wrote.  I meant Concordia, and everything I said was correct

Still agree with digitalfunkster, say you live at the corner of Lacordaire and Jarry and you want to go to McGill or work downtown, you will not take the bus and stop at Lacordaire station to then take the Blue and REM. Instead, you'll stay in the bus to go all the way to the Green!

C'est dur d'être dans ta tête et savoir exactement ce que tu veux dire...

Et Concordia, ça peut dépendre parce que si tu as un cours au pavillon VA, c'est peut-être plus pratique de prendre la ligne bleue + orange alors que si ton cours est à JM, c'est peut-être plus pratique de prendre bus + verte.

Reste que la ligne bleue va apporter un plus aux gens qui vont à UdeM, Poly, HEC et avec l'arrivée du REM, à ceux qui vont à McGill et Bonaventure.
