pierrefonds-roxboro Station Pierrefonds-Roxboro - Discussion
jesseps a répondu à un sujet de mtlurb dans Réseau express métropolitain
I just noticed that the station will be closer to Gouin and not 11th Ave. I really do hope the city puts in lights or something, so people can cross the street to get to the station (east to west on 11th). -
Hyperloop or no joint games!

I believe since yesterday, they started working on the station. They removed the old signals. -

Couche Tard testing out something like Amazon Go at McGill.

The French govt is blocking the purchase. If that is the case, Legault should do the same when a French company or a Canadian division of a French company (i.e Lactalis Canada), try's to buy a Quebec brand/manufacture of food, it gets blocked. If they can protect their food, we should do the same.

That is true, but I believe they will be slowly adding in charging stations. It is like Amazon buying Whole Foods, no one saw it coming. I wonder how the grocery market will consolidate. It will be interesting to see if Metro or Sobey's or Loblaws, will do something similar and buy chains in the US, Latin America, Europe or Asia or vice versa? As a Couche Tard shareholder, I like the idea of them buying Carrefour, but seeing the stock down 10%, my stomach is turning.

COVID-19: L'effet sur l'économie et sur l'immobilier à Montréal
jesseps a répondu à un sujet de Rocco dans L'actualité
One thing I do not get, do restaurants have to close at 730 just like the grocery stores or they can stay open and do delivery (uber eats, door dash, skip the dish or their own service) until later? -
It is nice to see that this building will get another chance.

If someone had the money, they could buy that and turn it into a great modern townhouse in Old Montreal. -
If we would have something like this, getting around with public transit would be a breeze.

The STM should look at Arrival for any future buses - https://arrival.com/?topic=products&id=1 or maybe even Lion Electric.- 351 réponses

With the cities restaurants getting hit hard this year and probably will not re-open. I came across a new concept for food trucks. (Courtesy of Jungsoo Lee via Yanko Design)

The design they should go with, should be this, but it would be fun making a tunnel high enough. I sort of agree with Ferrandez, having a raised line in the heart of the city is beyond stupid. If you want people to take public transit and what not, remove one lane in each direction when it gets to the city. I

Thank you for that. They will probably make their money somewhere else and right this off. One thing I do believe, people will still be taking the REM, metro or bus in the future; which I believe the automated personal shuttles like Zoox, that Amazon just show cased today, will still be expensive for a large portion of people.

Of all the years to select, why 2044? I believe universities will still be open, but to a smaller capacity, that they are right now.

I meant "go". My bad.

If the REM cannot get extended from the airport to the south of the 20, this project should try and extend to the dorval train station. -
They are going to be sandwiched between the green line, orange line, blue line and the REM, in such a small area. I think the only way to make it work you need a metro line go from Berri to the future Lacordaire station. It would reduce the amount of time, people will need to get to a metro station and into the city. I am not sure of the cost, it probably be like a billion dollars (almost 8 km, if it is a straight line)

At this point, I wonder when the east section is built, will the Masscouche line end at the Point aux Trembles station. At least more and more of the island is getting connected. It will probably help boost the value of homes in the east end. I am looking forward to seeing what other projects the government will allow for public transit on and off the island.
