  1. Hmm... Probably Le P'tit Atelier on Jarry or Patisserie De Nancy on Monkland.
  2. I saw that, if it does happen, that will be good for them. I saw a chart Toyota wants to try and switch all gas to hybrid or plug-in, and investing more into full-electric and hydrogen vehicles. I still think Hyundai/Genesis-Kia will beat them to the punch. IMO Toyota could have been number 1, because they were first to market with a mass market hybrid, yet they were slow to scale up over the years.
  3. Never. Just make all new constructions must meet the maximum height limit of where it is being built. If the limit is 65m they must build that, if they want to do less, they must pay a yearly fine to the city, worth the total value of the building.
  4. I should start a petition to change Elkas Blvd to Elkas St to reflect the nature of the area. If they dislike that, another petition to have buses on it. They can't have it both ways.
  5. At least this station makes more sense compared to the one being built near the Colisee. Say you live near St Charles and the 40, you can hop on the bus to Kirkland station and it takes under 10 mins. There are two options for you to get home: * Get off at Fairview and take 1 bus and should be 15 mins. * Get off at Kirkland and take 2 buses, it will take like 30 mins if no delays - all this because Elkas has no bus stops. They shouldn't call it a boulevard, but a street or avenue.
  6. The nicest one has to be the one in San Francisco and the runner up is the one in Dallas, because both are green.
  7. I think the city may have to build the road based on the "implementation plan" or there is no way for buses to drop off and pick up passengers. I guess we will know more by the time they finish building everything in 3 years or people will have a nice walk to get from the bus terminal at Fairview to take the REM.
  8. I think it is "unofficial" the extension even though it shows up on the REM website showing the layout of the station.
  9. What is in green is what they want to have a road, but what is in orange is something they should look into. At least the orange extension, would allow buses to go straight from Ile Bizard to the station without the need to do a detour via Salaberry. It would be even better if they can make an overpass from Stillview to the other side of the highway, probably not enough space or just open it up to emergency vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians.
  10. We are a long way from our stations looking like crap like NYC.
  11. Maybe Uber Air? GM/Cadillac eVTOL? Those things might be flying around by the time this thing is finished.
  12. Honestly if they keep building like they are doing in Laval, they will really need to work on a better transit system.
  13. I think this is the passerelles.
  14. At least the centre aquatique looks better.
  15. Lol it is TMR, they were not voted a UNESCO city of design.
  16. Lets see my office is moving June 2022, not sure where. If it is near the REM, and I am still at the same job by the time the REM is operational on the DM line, sure I will take it.
  17. Right behind my house. Action! https://photos.app.goo.gl/Wr6B6tZBDoJXgCpb8
  18. I hope they wont abandon the redevelopment after 30 years and tax payers will need to spend money again.
  19. It's happening! I cant wait to see the end result.
  20. Toyota is stupid to make only a few of their models hybrid, they should have done it across all models after releasing their first Prius. By now, they could have slowly transitioned into making electric vehicles. What funny, they put most of their eggs into hydrogen and they have nothing to show for it, except the Mirai. I only saw one on the road and it was in Vancouver, because they have a few stations and here in Quebec we only have 1. Yes, hydrogen stations cost a fortune to make. Toyota will have to make a huge switch of be left behind, while Hyundai-Kia (Korea) and other brands start eating up their market share.
  21. At least if you are lost downtown and you see that, you will at least know where you are.
  22. Yah, no. Not wasting billions on some useless vanity project.
