  1. American bagels, are just a donut. Fairmount for life!
  2. For me this project made sense ages ago. Who would we sell to?
  3. It looks like a nice project for Montreal Nord. Pretty much like a small European town, everything that you need in walking distance and the REM de l'Est, it would give them access to the city.
  4. I went a few years back on museum day. It is such a great museum. I first found out about this museum because of the movie "Eye of the Beholder"
  5. They started removing the trees / brush near the old line. It is pretty impressive.
  6. Schwartz's vs Dunns vs Lester's or the other handful of smoke meat places around Montreal.
  7. It be nice to see what the price is for the houses near the REM stations.
  8. I am not sure if this was posted or not. Back in October 2019 they said they were on schedule to open in 2021. Got to love COVID for messing up everything. I guess I will be able to take the REM starting Spring 2024. 3 more years to go. I do hope in the future, when the Du Ruisseau section opens, the REM/EXO will have the buses go to that station and not the metro.
  9. It is very grey and depressing. It reminds me a bit of Penn Station in NYC.
  10. Interesting to see Pierrefonds is second cheapest place per sq.ft on the island. Any reason why Kirkland, Beaconsfield and other cities in the West Island are not on the list?
  11. 10,000 sq.ft Louis Vuitton store? That would be like 200 sq.ft bigger compared to their Yorkville store. I think the largest Louis Vuitton in North America is in Vegas. I guess they will open a Tiffany's at this location too.
  12. I think hell will freeze over, before that lot is built on.
  13. Did the STM finally convert all their buses to electric or that has been pushed to a future date?
  14. Yummy, brunch. One of my favourite spots would be Holder.
  15. Bye, bye, concrete! The new design is nice, but seems already dated.
  16. Thanks for the videos. I just watched the one about the underground. I really want to walk around. They really do need to make the connection from Bonaventure to OACI less zigzaggy.
  17. Funny thing is, it was supposed to be finished a long time ago. They have been talking about it for about 50 years now. I remember in the early 2000s they managed to get the funding and took them almost half a decade after getting the approval to start working on the project. It is a shame. People will be stuck taking a taxi or the city bus (which does not allow people to take luggage onboard). On another note, I am reading a book and they explain there will always be people miscalculating the budget for projects (average is 30%).
  18. One thing, the pool area is almost like the one at 422 St Pierre, just with concrete instead of bricks from the 19th century.
  19. Since this morning, they have been removing the rails between Pierrefonds and Sunnybrook. It is pretty cool to watch.
  20. It will be fun to find parking. What would be great, if indoor parking was free, just like Ottawa on weekends.
  21. The tunnel reminds me of the one at Square Victoria/OACI
  22. The government should turn it into a skating rink.
