Why not, convert some old unused church into a pup. I visited one, when I was living in Dublin. They are huge venues and can accommodate a nice amount of people. The name wasn't very inspiring, they just called the pub "The Church" -

It is pretty much the case here, with expropriations. Look at all those people who lost their property for the extension of the 13 to Mirabel, that never happened.- 821 réponses

ville-marie MAA Condominiums - 33 étages

We need a larger labour force. At this rate, it will be a millennia, before our city can look like Shanghai - it only took a few decades over there. -

For the fun of it, I have been checking the prices of homes for sale around my area in the West Island, versus their evaluation from the city, people are asking for 50% to 80% more. Which I think is insane! -

It looks like it will be an interesting shape at the base, hopefully the two pencil towers will be nice - hopefully not all glass like One Madison. -

Dismay in Quebec as francophones fail language test
The process to get a PR can be long and painful. Thankfully my wife did not have to do the test, even though she is French. She applied for PR when she was here doing her PVT and had to leave because of the process would not allow her to work, so we went to live in Europe until she got her PR which was over a year later. I find it comical, the French test has to be corrected by people in France. What Quebec French is not adequate? Yet the PQ and other parties want people to speak french. It is sad, that we need to out source and need to fall back on our previous rulers. We will never be a Quebec society, until we cut the ties with France. -

That is pretty much understandable. The stations are pretty much in the heart of the city, security is pretty much none existent, even though Europe trains are known to be targets by terrorists. Madrid - Barcelona (high speed) under 3 hours Madrid - Barcelona (flight) under 80 mins (excl. "mandatory" time to be at the airport and commute to the airport) In the end, the flight might take the same amount of time or more, compared to the train. China shape and population helps feed the need for that type of transport.

Amazon recently bought Zoox, so they can compete against Lyft and Uber. It will be interesting to see who else will order from Lion or if Lion will try to dip their toes in making cars for the average Quebecer or leave that up to Daymak in Ontario. They do have a nice amount of competition - Rivian (making delivery trunks for Amazon), Arrival (UK based but setting up in the US for UPS orders), Canoo (American version of Arrival, but no orders from large corporations). The whole EV / autonomous driving sector is exploding.
