  1. Nice renderings, time will tell, how it will turn out. I am surprised, they don't want to put in a few townhouses into the project.
  2. I have to say, Jean Drapeau was an idiot for destroying an art deco building, such as that one. Wow.
  3. As much as I like Legault, he needs to stop thinking like a politician. If he would want to make inroads with Montreal, he would have to try and win people over. He still did get 130,000+ votes on the island. True the 638,000+ other votes were mostly Liberal and all the other parties. I think he got like 17% of the vote on the island, which isn't peanuts.
  4. They still are fighting over who pays what? 🙄 Legault should just pay for it and charge a fee for people entering or exiting the airport using the REM. It is like that at many airports around the world.
  5. Honestly, they should have kept the tram network in Montreal.
  6. They have an issue with this redevelopment, but are okay with Project Royalmount. I guess, where Royalmount is situated, isn't an important part of TMR.
  7. I believe I was one of the 1st people in Canada to get it when it came out in 2004. It was a horrible car at that. I had so many transmission issues. Anyways, it is a great idea on TMR part. More people = more revenue. Hopefully the people who move there, wont want to use their car, because traffic will be even more of pain. Who knows in the next 10-15 years, if this does get built, if everyone will still be doing work from home or a hybrid work from home + office or back to the office full time.
  8. A year behind schedule. CDPQi going to eat a ton of losses because of this.
  9. Back in June Hydro Quebec bought the Jacob building on Chemin de la Cote-de-Liesse. I am not sure if it was posted here or not. (Courtesy of Journal de Montreal)
  10. The rich get wrap around floor to ceiling glass and the peasants get bricks.
  11. They are announcing some major changes to the 15 today.
  12. I forgot about this project. I should go check it out.
  13. TEO Taxi is back in business minus the Tesla's. Are people still taking taxi's and ubers during covid?
  14. It will be interesting to see what they come up with, to get people on board. I wouldn't mind moving out there, because work from home, might be here to stay, so being closed to the highway, it will give me 15-17 mins to get to work. It would just be a nightmare for my wife, because she wouldn't have access to the city by train/REM.
  15. Ouch. That is one hell of a downgrade. It make sense to switch to Bulgari. It be the first in the America's.
  16. Nice to see Phibsboro made the list at # 27. I lived right next door to the Eddie Rockets that they show in the picture. The only thing that made me un-easy while living there for close to two years, that the prison was down the road. If I were to move back to Ireland, I for sure wouldn't mind living there again.
  17. The Four Seasons becomes a 5 star hotel and closes down the same day?
  18. It be stupid of them not to build it. If they don't do it now, years down the road they will have to do it and it will cost more. People are funny they talk about how this project will help and be the future, but yet, they only still are looking at this as short term and lost their vision.
  19. That is sad. Hopefully they pop up soon enough.
  20. Maybe if it was changed to Valerie Plante station, it would get the green light.
  21. I wonder if they will be giving away from free airism face masks for the first 100 customers.
  22. It is nice to see, they will do something with that location.
