  1. Tu es optimiste de penser que tout cela peut être planifié, approuvé, financé et complété en moins de 36 mois!! De plus je ne crois pas que Montréal puisse supporter 2 musées d'art contemporain étant donné que le MAC connaît des difficultés. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. $300M pour faire des shows de roulotte et de monster trucks en janvier. Tout un retour sur l'investissement!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Is it just me or the roof (on the old portion) did a better job of hiding the new addition in the renderings than what was actually done in real life? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. What makes this even more ridiculous is that Aldo would have probably completed this investment regardless of the govt's involvement Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Je crois que cette photo va faire beaucoup d'heureux Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Is the $360M only capital expenditures? Are they also counting salaries over the next 5-10 years? $360M on offices for 400 people would be a goddamn palace Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Also I would take the Leger Marketing projected attendance numbers with a grain of salt. Of course people will say they would purchase tickets if there were to be a return of MLB in Montreal. What's the downside of saying you would? None! But when push comes to shove it would be interesting to see how many people actually come through. And even if tickets for the first season do sell out, the novelty effect could wear off after a while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Wow can't wait to read this report... I don't think it will happen but if it were to happen R-L/Atwater would be a great location. It would do wonders for the area. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Who makes a $800k+ deposit for a condo (unless it's a $5M or more unit which I'm assuming it's not since it's in Brossard)? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I find this whole story hard to believe. If those investors wanted to build a "hub" for North America why not do it in Las Vegas? It's closer to Asia, 100's of flights daily, lots of cheap 4/5 star accommodations, live entertainment/shopping/spas/golf/restaurants+++, lots of comparatively affordable homes for sale, no income tax in NV, etc. etc. not to mention warm & dry weather year round. And they could borrow money really cheaply from Chinese investors through EB-5 (invest $1,000,000 and create 10 new jobs in US - you get citizenship). I know similar programs exist in Canada but I think US citizenship is still more desirable for this demographic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I think they had expressed interest in purchasing that lot on Rene Lévesque were that church burned down Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. The hotel sold for $39,000,000. If they build 6 stories (like Ogilvy next door) the cost per buildable square foot (ie not including demolition and building costs) would be $650!! (assuming 10,000 sq. ft. per floor) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Never heard of this guy Vincent Boucher so I googled his name... I found this website vincentboucher.com where you can buy a "Make your life a masterpiece" (whatever that is) for $5,000/hour. Also the copyright at the bottom of the page says c 2013 Revered Fashion Designer Vincent Boucher. WTF. Weirdest website I've ever seen. Check it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  15. Yes I understood that both projects are now separate... What I meant is that it's an expensive proposition for Selfridges/Ogilvy to purchase and tear down the hotel simply to expand their store, no? Why don't they build higher? Or sell the hotel to carbonleo in a deal where they leaseback the commercial spaces? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  16. So basically Selfridges will tear down the hotel just to build an expansion of Ogilvy's? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  17. Those units are not resales but unsold units that the developer has decided to put on MLS
  18. Rio Tinto Alcan is moving their head office there... 190,000 sq.ft.
  19. http://blogs.montrealgazette.com/2013/03/11/royal-victoria-hotel-dieu-mount-royal-montrealers-must-demand-a-say/
  20. Dream on RC no one will buy your tower to build condos or a hotel. Plus it's in the middle of nowhere!
  21. My eyes!!! And they use stock photos that have nothing to do with the project to showcase finishes... That's a bit misleading IMO Poor little house. Looks like a huge tumor landed on the roof.
  22. He has a bad rap too http://m.nypost.com/p/news/opinion/opedcolumnists/ny_most_loathed_architect_kZWV1C0F6ldDVqmnO64DMN
