The Caron building is a nice building though, especially the lobby. But it's true the Kennedy side of the building is surprisingly unornemented compared to the other facade... However I guess it is classified as a "heritage" building so I kind of think it would be hard to make any modification to the original design.

 

Here's a picture I took a few years ago but it hasn't changed much since then:

I'm not saying that the Caron Building should be torn down or that they should change the look and style of the building. But the owner will sooner or later have to improve his building. Replace the old windows with nerwer, more efficient ones. Obviously he will have to protect the ornamentation and the brick facade of the building. BUt the building could use a good cleaning.

I noticed yesterday they were digging the lot just in front of the Louis Boheme (behind the ilot balmoral)... is this related to the quartier des spectacles or is it for the Louis Boheme?
