Tres bonne nouvelle! Et pour dire que la SAQ dans l'ancien Forum était pour fermer ces portes il y a quelques années. Espérons qu'elle sera ouverte plus tard que 18h en début de semaine.

 

Pour ce qui est de l'ancien Forum pas cool comme nouvel quoi que ce coin serait bien pour in resto / bar genre Jack Astors.

Il y a longtemps que je n'ai pas mis les pieds au Forum. C'était toujours vide, même pour le cinéma.

Il y a longtemps que je n'ai pas mis les pieds au Forum. C'était toujours vide, même pour le cinéma.

 

Forum SAQ is street level and easily accessible. Nothing replaced Future Shop. Still empty except for Pekarna and Tim Hortons.

There was a Guido & Angelina and it failed. I don't know what else could do well there.

I still say an hollowed-out Forum could have made an excellent parking tower for a new baseball field should it have come to the Children's. But with S sur le Square and the Cabot Square revamp, I don't think it's a possibility, nor a good idea.

Totally underwhelming use of the old forum. I'm with Rocco, I would like to see a good residential project there and on the southwest corner of Atwater and Ste Catherine that would overlook Cabot Square. A strong rehab of the Children's into condos would be welcome too.

denpanosekai - wtf are you talking about?? the children's is an iconic structure for every montrealer currently alive and it will eventually be repurposed for housing, and the forum as a parking structure is just nuts, and exactly the way it's going now is how it should be - commercial. baseball??? like wtf?? aside from the mayor and this forum, nobody believes baseball will ever return to montreal. even thinking about urban development with baseball as an option is a walk in fantasy land. why not just build the tallest building in the world on the forum site? jesus. people on this forum get so delusional sometimes.

You need to calm down, it's the second time you rub me the wrong way since joining this forum. The Children's was announced multiple times as a possible site for the new downtown stadium. I never said I thought it was a good idea. I've lived in Shaughnessy Village for a number of years. Now chill out.
