    Donc la De La Montagne, comme Bleury (I hope) entre Sherbrooke et St. Antoine, va ressembler une vrai rue d'un CV si tous ces projets voient le jour. Une quuestion interesente est que va devenir du coin De Maisonneuve/De La Montagne. Great lot on the corner for a hotel.

    Merci Infoman! Pas pour etre snob mais j'habit a 2 minutes de marche juste au nord sur des Seigneurs et pour moi, personally speaking, les HLM qui ce trouvent en arriere il en a assez. Mais pour encouragez les gens qui gagnet pas assez pour acheter un apt a 250K ou "louer" c'est pas mal.

    Qui pourrait expliquer qui a droit aux "...85 logements sociaux et communautaires, 70 logements abordables...". Je sais que la ville encourage l'inclusion de ce genre de logement avec des nouveaux projets résidentiels mais qui a droit a ces logements? And what's the difference between sociale, communautaire and abordable?

    Dude comme j'ai expliqué le trou fait l’ensemble de ce que était le stationnement -- ce n'est pas pour un bureau de vente mais plutôt ce qu'il semble un stationnement intérieure! Et voila mon point -- si l'approbation n'a pas été donné par la ville pourquoi l’état d'avancement? Et c'est peut être pour ça le bureau au coin de RL et de la Montagne??

    Je marchais hier justement la -- le site ce trouve bien sur juste a cote du projet Viva Lofts. Curieux par compte parce que tout ce stationnement est maintenent en construction. Le trou part de Viva Loft au sud jusqu'a la ruelle derriere l'immeube sur Ste. Catherine coin Bishop. There's even metal beams along the sides of the excavation so I don't think there's any turning back on this one. Also a fence is in the hole seemingly to delineate both projects but that's speculation. In any case this will eat up a huge vacant lot downtown excellent news.

    Primaire sur Des Seigneurs juste au nord de Notre Dame juste a cote de Griffintown. Downtownish hardware stores il y le Rona en face du Corona et Home Depot sur St. Antoine un peu plus a l'ouest.

    Donc si une toure au coin Ste. Cath. et Bleury est bati de plus qu`une 2e tour SNC en face du nouveau Marriot Bleury va finalement avoir l`allure d`un vrai bouleveard centre ville quand on regarde jusqu`au Palais des Congres.

    Encore une fois pas certain ou afficher -- le gouvernement du Qc propose -- surprise surprise -- de nouveux reglements cette fois dans le domaine des condos. For those familiar with the more granular aspects of condo financing, building and selling any thoughts and comments? I've never bought a condo buy my first reaction is typical Qc government reacation in that more regulation is the answer. How do other jurisdicctions regulate the condo market and is Qc actually in need of updating rules and laws or is this needless meddling?

    HOWEVER, there is another option none of you have been discussing: the possibility that the core / soil samples came back and CF found out that either A) The soil depth versus bedrock / rockhead depth in that location won't support a 200M+ structure on such a small footprint or B) that reinforcing the area would require a huge investment. **** Above is an interesting point actually. However in the early 90s I was doing my BComm at Concordia and took a real estate class (still have the book). A presenter from the guys that built the Bell Center lectured a class and I remember him saying that two 50 story towers could be build on top of the Center.

    Yup in fact there was a condo project there about oh ... 5ish or so years ago rather modest project for that part of town. Anyhow the thing never got built which may be a good thing if we see something taller in the future. Wasn't this site of a rumoured Hilton about a year ago (haven't looked at the Cancelled stuff).

    Closer to 40 ... could be 44 - 46 stories .... Yeah that's shame if it's not at least even 50 +. Shame as well since this location can pretty much build high without any issues.
