Bonne nouvelle, en passant sur la 720 ce matin, j'ai remarqué que Bell est en train de retirer les panneaux de tôle sur le building qui longe la 720 (moitié pierre/moitié tôle). Le revêtement est maintenant en pierre et brique, ce qui est déja mieux..

 

Pas un gros projet, mais j'ai toujours trouvé que ce building faisait dure et qu'il était justement très mal situé pour faire dure....

Il s'agit du "CO" de Bell, sur la rue Atwater.

 

J'y ai déjà rencontré des dirigeants de BellZinc et bien que l'entrée ait été l'une des plus moches que j'ai vu, leurs bureaux au 3e étage étaient très "web 2.0", à une époque où le web était encore à 1.0.

 

Le stationnement de l'autre côté de la rue, sous l'autoroute me donnait toujours l'impression que mon auto allait disparaître durant la rencontre ; )

 

Je ne sais plus ce que se trame dans cet édifice, aujourd'hui...

BCE, parent of Bell Canada, announced it has renegotiated its deal to sell itself to a consortium of investors for about $50 billion, marking the end of months-long saga over the fate of the largest buyout in history. The new deal still calls for the buyers to pay $42.75 a share, however the deal amounts to about a $2 a share price cut because BCE will not pay any dividends between now and when the deal is completed in December.

 

The savings from dividend payments and free cash flow generated in the interim means the buyers will be paying about $1.5 billion less for BCE. Some of the savings will be passed along to the banks providing the financing, who had threatened to upend the deal.

 

The buying group includes Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Providence Equity Partners Inc., Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC, and Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity.

Je ne comprend pas? Bell change de propriétaire mais je n'ai jamais vu ni entendu de plan pour changer la localisation du siège social.
