My problem is not the browser... but the OS. I cannot even download IE on a Mac. In fact, you cannot download IE on any operative system that is not Windows. You probably didn't know that. If you could, there would be absolutely no problem. Most university departments in THIS CITY do not use Windows. That's why I own a Mac, and that's why I cannot access this service. I know you are not being completely serious, but this is actually a sad, frustrating accessibility FAIL.

 

Edit: Sorry again for taking this too seriously. A side note: IE is the ONLY mainstream browser that works in only one operative system, so it is clearly the WORST option for a browser-exclusive website, if accessibility is wanted. The thing is not that they should pay someone to develop it for the other "exotic browsers," but that they should have made it accessible in the first place. At least for some browser that can be downloaded in any of the main operative system.

 

Je trouve ça ridicule aussi comme situation. Dans le sens où il y a plusieurs alternatives pour développer un site web qui donne du contenu aussi riche sinon plus que ActiveX. Et qui te permet de rejoindre 100% des utilisateurs. N'empêche que, c'est un site probablement peu utilisé, qui a probablement été monté à une époque pas si lointaine où IE régnait en roi et maître, où Apple n'avait pas encore remonté la pente et où Firefox n'existait pas.

 

Heureusement, cette façon bête de développer des sites web semble être disparue.

 

N'empêche, les seules fois où je me cogne à des messages d'incompatibilités de ce genre, c'est au gouvernement du Québec! (J'ai un Mac aussi) Le site du RQAP a le même problème.
