I met him many years ago at the airport in Toronto. He was a really nice guy.

Wow. I was shocked when I heard. I mean, everybody knew he was ill, but he had this spirit to him, this aura, that he just couldn't be defeated. He brought something new to politics. An optimism and an energy that seems to be increasingly rare in what seems to be an increasingly cynical national forum. For that reason, regardless of one's voting intentions, this was a loss for many.

 

It should be interesting to see what the fallout from this brings...
