N'oublions pas que le CP à l'époque planifiait une tour à bureaux de 60 étages attaché au complexe de la gare Windsor. Je ne crois pas qu'ils aient changé le zonage, quant à l'autre coté de la rue, mystère ????

Oui, mais ça n'a jamais empêché les promoteurs de voir grand...surtout pas dans le passé. As tu déjà vu l'évocation pour la Place Bonaventura. Elle était supposé être situé là où est le 1000 de la Gauchetière aujourd'hui. À l'époque, on parlait d'une tour qui ressemblait beaucoup à la Tour CIBC, mais avec 80 étages.

Wow c une excellente nouvel et si un jour le projet a lieu ( selon moi oui mais on aura pas de nouvel pas avant pt 2ans ou plus) Le projet apportera beaucoup au C-V, c'est un gros projet si on parle seulement de l'agrandissement de la gare Windsor.

That's the thing with Montreal... when you look at it, we have a startling number of good projects. The problem is few of them ever take off. Just look at the huge megaprojects of CHUM, MUHC, Griffintown, Quartier des Spectacles, this new transit hub, the Bonaventure project, the officer towers 701 University, 900 Maisonneuve, Cite Internationale II, etc. A lot of good proposals. Some are under way, most are not... but...

 

If the economy really starts going well, we may yet see an impressively transformed city! Croisons nos doigts!

 

It's a curious duality. On one hand, it's easy to find evidence to justify pessimism. On the other hand, there's plenty of evidence to recommend optimism too. Hmm!

I don't find it curious at all! When you have a few projects that are ready to go, yet none of them go up...even after 4, 5 or 6 years of lying on the shelf, i find it a little depressing!

your new plan looks pretty good as long as you leave the facade of the original Windsor station alone - it is historic and needs to be kept the way it is. Also, I do not like that huge tower that you plan to build on the Notre-Dame side of that parking lot - there are enough tall buildings blocking the view of the river and your putting up another one is not nice!! Put up several lower ones rather than the one really tall one!!
