Oui minimum 150 mètres sinon Montréal ne sera plus la ville aux 100 clochers, elle deviendra la ville aux tours de 120 mètres.

Sitting in front of the 1000, Tour des Canadiens juste a l'ouest, BN et VSLP juste a l'est no reason this shouldn't be 200m.

YES!!!

I pass by these buildings pretty much everyday and I always saw them as a no. 1 demolition candidate so to be replaced by something modern. 

If only they will soon do the same for 1010 Saint-Antoine (Canadian Govt. Building).

I couldn't agree more!  There is really no cogent reason for it not to be:  rail tracks, delivery ramps,  no low-rise residential neighborhood to protect, lower vis-a-vis Mont Royal...

I'm conflicted, these buildings add charm to the area and certainly could be developed creatively (facades or whatever) into a taller structure.  The Canadian Govt' building is a beautiful, if short building.

I would have preferred to hear one of the many parking lots around these buildings were being developed, but this is still good news.
