I don’t find it appealing either but many people here have a chubby for Le Duke. Go figure.

I mean.. to be fair.. the city allowed monstrosities like Drummond to be constructed.

You’re right. Pour moi aussi c’est un batiment de périphérie ça. Would be more than happy to see that in Pointe Claire or Anjoy whatever. Mais le boom de Montréal est tellement jeune que c’est dur de faire la fine bouche pour l’instant. Et moi quand c’est en verre j’accepte beaucoup mieux que quand c’est du préfab jaune lol. But if the boom goes on for another 10 years like To or Vancouver then buildings like this in the core won’t be acceptable. For now I’m fine with them. Dont forget that not long ago all we had as was the Jardins Windsor and a skyline looking like this :

The skyline pretty much still looks like this . Aside from the concentration of ''skyscrapers'' near Bell Centre and the 120m Plateau even further west , not much has changed .

Il y en aussi tout l'avant plan qui a changé, avec Griffintown. Puis cinq nouvelles tours de 200m  apparaitront dans les prochaines années en plus de plusieurs plus petits bâtiments. La skyline a énormément changé et est encore en évolution.

Does anyone know the estimated completion date for this building?  Or when they hope to open the IGA?
