    I would love for them to uncover that awful siding!

    What a disappointment. Totally ruined the campus - they should have respected the existing architecture. They had an entire abandoned building that could have been redeveloped instead.

    Canadian Tire at Alexis Nihon always seems to have people inside - so there is definitely a demand despite customers having to lug their purchases through the metro. Off topic, I heard that IKEA used to be located at Alexis Nihon way back in the day - any truth to this ?

    long-term that building will be sold. It is currently occupied by the Fine Arts faculty, which will eventually move over to the Grey Nuns property a few blocks west. This building is a complete disaster anyways - filled with asbestos & probably loads of paint fumes from all the art students.

    they put up a huge poster for this project attached to the former omer deserres building. looks promising!

    another reason is that the housing stock in montreal is just old! there simply wasn't any residential construction for many years as compared to other north american cities. thus, there is a larger demand for new units - something that has been rare in mtl.

    anyone else notice they forgot to BCC everyone? .. seems like they just made public the name of every client!

    this project is moving pretty fast - they are now adding a floor on top of what was the original roof. also seems to be taking up a portion of the building to the right. still don't get the facade thing - tear it down already!

    interesting.. a "university" land-use. i was under the impression that any university in QC was essentially forbidden from developing any new real estate. who could this be for ?

    This probably means nothing, but looks like they had soil sample / other digging tools on site yesterday

    This area isn't too bad, just have to avoid the McDonald's with all the f*cking teenagers. I wonder why they bothered to keep the facade ?

    Anyone know what's going up here? Right opposite Concordia's EV building & immediately next to the Pharmaprix. The old apartment building was completely gutted & the facade preserved (why? who knows .. it's hideous) There's a crane on site now - I'm assuming more condos are being built.

    I went to check this place out last Winter - was not impressed with the construction quality at all - looked very cheap. Not to mention Condo fees were 275$ upwards - what's the point of owning ?

    I don't mind it.. for now it might look pretty tacky 10 years from now, especially if they use crappy materials!

    Looks Great! We've been waiting on this one for a long time!! Now hopefully this will entice the owners of that commie block apartment tower on Mackay to do some renovations!
