they have units at 10000 sq.ft a pop wow. largest ones i've heard about are at heritage du vieux port at 7500 sq.ft, true you get a huge ass terrace of about 10-15000 sq.ft

 

honestly those 10000 sq.ft ones in Toronto are for sure going to be pricey as hell, probably a minimum of $3 million and I'm being kind LOL probably see them at $8 million or even more seeing, there is a project in Calgary the penthouse is like 4500 sq.ft going for $10 million.

Ceux qui attendent d'autres gros noms de l'hotellerie n'ont qu'à se tenir parce que une annonce majeure s'en vient d'ici la fin de l'année.

Un gros nom ( non confirmé) dans un gros hôtel ( 350 chambres environ ).

J'en avais parlé brièvement dans le fil du 701 University.

 

Toutes les études de marché le confirme: il reste encore beaucoup de place pour de nouveaux gros hôtels à Montréal.

Ceux qui affirment que le marché ne peut prendre de nouvelles chambres sont les propriétaires de vieux hôtels qui s'accomodaient du manque d'investissement chronique des 20 dernières années.

 

Maintenant, Montréal revient sur la map à la vitesse grand V.

Waldorf eyes luxury hotel in Montreal

The Waldorf-Astoria Collection, a luxury brand of Hilton Hotels Corp. that hopes to build a hotel in Sarasota to open in 2010, has reached an agreement for a similar Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Montreal.

Sarasota's 225-room Waldorf would be part of the Proscenium, a $1 billion project slated to include more than 200 residences; 300,000 square feet of Class A office space; 130,000 square feet of retail space; an 800-seat Nederlander Worldwide performing arts hall; a 500-seat art movie theater; and some 2,000 parking spaces.

 

The deal in Montreal with Monit Investments -- the brand's first in Canada -- is to include a 250-room hotel and 76 condominiums. The 32-story Waldorf-Astoria Montreal will feature 15,000 square feet of ballroom and meeting space, signature restaurants, bars and a luxury spa and fitness center.

 

The project is expected to be completed in 2011.

 

The 55-year-old Monit, based in Montreal, describes itself as "a highly diversified company with expertise in all facets of real estate," including development, investment, construction and operations.

 

The company said it has commercial, industrial and retail properties in Quebec and in the United States.
