Until the 1980s, I don’t believe there were any residential towers in Manhattan more than 120 m tall. “Mixed-use” in North America really only started in the 1990s. Shops and restaurants in the podium of an office building don't constitute mixed-use.

See Chicago, John Hancock Center, 1969.    It wasn't uncommon to do mixed-use complexes in the 1960's even though they were typically separate buildings e.g.: Westmount Square.    

They did end up adding Le Grand Hotel (EVO) in the 1970's... could have completed the complex as originally conceived with half hotel, half office.

Wasn’t the Hancock centre in Chicago pre 90’s and mixed use and more than 300m tall?

Les rénovations se poursuivent à la Place Victoria. Le couloir menant au métro est maintenant fermé et voici le rendu final une fois renipé.

Merci pour l'info. Btw, in the Seventies the hotel was a Hyatt. Is le Grand Hotel part of their offers ?

Hyatt was the first incarnation, then Le Grand (independant), then Delta, then Evo.

Oui je sais mais je suis à peu près certain que j'ai déjà vu le logo de l'Auberge des Gouverneurs sur l'ancien Hyatt.
