The expansion of the Palais des Congres is an opportunity to do something grand especially that we are a unique destination and city in North America. Like I mentioned before, imagine the quadrilateral west of St Laurent covered with a public space in the style of Dominion Square, and the expansion would cover the whole section east of St Laurent upto Place des Montrealais. Both the eastern and western sections of the Palais would be connected underground along the metro line similar to the McGill metro station's underground connections. This would bring a much needed beautification and green area to the western side of St Laurent - Old Montreal to the south, the existing Palais to the West, China town to the north, and The grand new section of the Palais fronting on the eastern side of St Laurent. Et voila a final integration of old Montreal along the Main.

I think there should be ample parking either underground or multilevel above ground as part of any development around the REM stations.

The 40 and the 15 are already problematic. Instead of moving forward with solutions, the MTQ and many more just want to stop a major development. Even if they do manage to stop this one it is just a question of time given the centrality of the location that it makes perfect sense to change this area from an industrial wasteland to a mixed use high density major project. So, let's fix the traffic issue and have a constructive discussion about the content of the project and hopefully make it better and move forward.

It would do wonders for boul Robert Bourassa and the project if it extended to Robert Bourassa.

I hope they do something spectacular on the ground floor and incorporate it as a continuation of Central Station

I like the idea of a one way toll for the underground expressway and no toll on the above ground urban boulevard.

This mall should have been integrated and become part of the Eaton Centre.

They can always get rid of the six duplexes at the base of the Maestria and create a nice public square leading to the new McCord at the base of the Maestia buildings
