  1. I do not disagree with what you say.
  2. It's amazing how this previous no-man's land including the area around Place Victoria has transformed itself in the last 10 years and will be one of the best areas of the city by the next 10 years.
  3. I see nowhere that it has to evoke an Asian look. Really sad!
  4. What a disaster! If you're going to open it up, then open it up and make a basilaire of glass ( don't forget to match the aluminum) and leave the upper floors intact.
  5. For this project to be a success it needs to integrate people rfectly at street level - all along Stew Catherine and at the corners. It cannot do that with those little houses in the way

I love your idea. My only disappointment is that you are not covering the rail tracks.
  7. I am hoping that it doesn't turn out like a suburban lifestyle centre. Dix 30 is one. I think Royalmount could be an opportunity to provide a high density multi-use development in mid-town Montreal, that will be a showcase for a rebirth of the whole shopping experience, including stores, entertainment, activities, and thousands of residences, and a transit central. if done properly, it will not compete with the downtown core or specialty boutique streets. It will compete with your major suburban malls like the Carrefour Lavals. Nothing wrong with that - they have been siphoning customers from Montreal proper for decades. And in the long run - the Carrefour Lavals, Saint Bruno's, and Galeries D'Anjous will have to follow - and that is not a bad thing.
  8. This is where the city comes in and makes a deal with the developer - usually for higher density.
  9. These houses should make room for a square opening up to a jewel behind.
  10. We need to rethink where the vehicle entries should be: 1- add a westward entry to vehicles from an extended Cavendish giving access to the site from the west; and 2- an underpass from the 15 north, right north of Jean Talon taking you underground into the site from the east.
  11. But it would nicely fill in the gap in our skyline
  12. Great view except for the Bonaventure. Imagine an iconic 200m building hiding the Bonaventure. It would enhance the northern view and fill in the gap in our skyline.
  13. IMO Cavendish, once extended to the south side of the tracks should become the main western artery for this project with numerous condo towers on either side of the Boulevard
  14. I don't think for this area that the units will be as small as the TDC.
  15. I think the condo units to the south and west would be on Montreal property. Not much the mayor of VMR can do about it.
  16. I don't think they'll need to modify their attractions. We have good examples with Chez Parée and Wandas
  17. It would be amazing if we can get BIG or some international design completion.
