    I have seen steeper boulevards. The number of lanes should be a continuation of the existing roadwork south of Ontario.

    All we need now is a project similar to Humaniti (Hotel,Condos, Appts, Comercial) to replace the ugly building facing this new place on Viger. That would be quiet a site looking north from Place Vaquelin

    There could be a larger commercial part as the provincial government is transferring many of its offices from ville marie to the eastern part of downtown. That would help achieve the mix that is so important in giving it a new life.

    Les Terrasses was a much more fascinating and interesting centre, but very difficult to navigate

    IMO this Reno doesn't seem to do what it should do. What this needed to do is - once you're through those doors whether from Ste Catherine or McGill - Wow you. It won't!

    I mean a REALLY busy intersection like Bleury/Ste Catherine, St Laurent/Ste Catherine, Guy/deMaisonneuve, etc...

    This project is definitely at the wrong place. With it's square like entrance and animation it deserved to be at a busy pedestrian intersection.

    All glass - transparent would certainly open it up. Only keep the perimeter in stone.

    The lot can be easily expanded as there are a few adjacent buildings, other than the corner one, that have seen better days and could be demolished to make way for the museum.

    I think one way that gives a clearer picture of an urban area is to show how many people live: - 50km from the center -100km from the center -200km from the center

    Completely disagree. It is not the height that makes a city. I agree with densifying the core but that can be realized like many European cities without unlimited heights. The most important thing in any city is keeping your street level alive - and Montreal does for the most part a better job than Toronto and Vancouver.

    There is something wrong with the way this project frames the square - it doesn't! The pattern should be like Rockefeller Center in NYC with similar buildings on either side and a recessed center piece in the middle with it's own square at street level.

    I agree with you except for the brick wall on the south side - does not do any justice to the rest of the project

    I don't understand why they are keeping the blank wall (for the stairway) on the Ste Catherine street side. IUt should have been all windows maximizing the views of the mountain.
