Does anyone know what is happening with the later phases of the NordElec project? It was supposed to have 3 new extensions of the original building divisions, but only the first extension was built. I am curious if/when the others will be built. Also, we could really use a grocery store at this end of PSC and I think the added density would finally make that happen.

Est-ce qu'il y a une liste/spreadsheet quelque part avec les projets majeurs infrastructuraux (ie. REM, Ste. Catherine, Turcott...etc.) et leurs échéanciers? Tous ensemble? À jour? I would like to have an idea of when we can expect to see the high point of construction and when it will start to dissipate, plus when we will really see some of the changes and positive impacts of these works.

Oui, c'est ça que j'ai voulu dire, que l'emplacement centré par tous ces infrastructures (routes, chemins de fer et futur transformateur d'hydro) n'est pas idéale. C'est plustôt l'emplacement des routes et infrastructures qui est un problème, pas le parc. Je comprends l'intention pourquoi mettre le parc là, et j'applaudi les groupes qui ont battu pour cette parc qui souligne les pertes de vie. Par contre, je n'ai pas bien dit les choses avant: Je trouve que c'est dommage que l'hydro Quebec utilise/exploit l'inclusion d'un "parc" dans leur projet pour masquer le fait qu'ils construisent une énorme infrastructre laid. Tout le monde discute le parc (comme nous ici) au lieu de discuter le fait que cette infrastructure est laid et empechera la développment futur d'une secteur de PSC très proche au centre-ville avec plein de potentiel (future arret du REM?), c'est ça le mauvais 'joke'. Hydro Quebec ont l'aire qu'ils écoutent les gens de PSC, mais l'ajout d'un station de transformateur qui risque d'empechera un vrai developpement là c'est problematique. Et le potientiel d'un parc qui est entouré par les infrastructures très proche est vraiment limité.

I am 100% for parks, but this makes no sense; due to the location it will be experienced by almost no one. Also, I am 100% for a commemorative or introspective parc that is not visited frequently, but this is not compatible with the very busy street, hydro infrastructure, and the new train tracks they mention. It just makes no sense. Its like putting a parc in the middle of a left-over island of land next to the Turcott and then calling it significant, it is just good PR for a very ugly project. Their goal here is to distract people with the phrase "new park" instead of "hideous new hydro infrastructure". And believe me, I live nearby and would be very happy to have a new park, but this is just a joke.

I am trying to find plans and sections of one of these types of buildings with +/- 6 levels and an inner courtyard, but I do not know the search words so I cannot find what they look like inside and how they are built. 2.
