    Bordel, ce n'est pas impossible! C'est la norme. À l'hôpital Charles-LeMoyne, à Longueuil, je n'ai jamais attendu plus qu'une couple d'heures. La moyenne c'est une heure. Le plus vite c'est lorsque j'ai brisé ma jambe. Quelques minutes et je me faisais servir. J'ai de la misère à croire que j'ai été "super chanceux" 4 fois sur 4.

    Man c'est quoi cette histoire de perdre une journée? Tout le temps que j'ai attendu là dans ma vie.. combiné.. n'arrive pas à une journée!!!

    I'm very surprised to hear YOUR stories. THAT doesn't sound like the health care system I know. My best friend also broke his leg, i waited with him at the hospital - 2 hours, then he was seen, fixed up, good to go. Free. My cousin had a hip replacement within a week. I don't know what this several months business is about. Guess you were unlucky. I had to see some specialists regarding my lower abdomen. Even the specialist was accessible quickly. Seriously, i've had nothing but the best care from our system. I'm sure there are the odd horror story here and there, but i personally believe you're seeing everything through a biased partisan filter. You see a bad system because you WANT to see a bad system. I see a system that works, not because I WANT to see a system that works, but because it has worked flawlessly for me 4 out of 4 times, plus all my family and friends. And all of it was free. American system good? I don't think so.

    You know, in 99.9% of cases the wait is between 5 minutes and 3 hours. This business of waiting an exaggerated time is silly. It's like being scared of going outside because you might hit by a meteorite. I've been to the hospital 4 times : broken leg, lower abdomen issues, facial injury, knee injury. All 4 times i waited under an hour to receive care/treatment or see a specialist. All the raw numbers show the US system is in dire shape. All the socialized systems are way better off. This isn't an opinion this time, it's a fact.

    You can't prove that. Socialized healthcare runs better than the free-for-all system the Americans use and that's a fact. Seems to contradict the "right wing way is always better" idea you're suggesting.

    I was going through old memorabilia yestesrday and came across an old Habs ticket. It was for a Canucks @ Habs game at the Molson Centre. Ticket in the lower reds. 60$. This was only 2003.

    Maybe if tickets didn't cost an arm and a leg people would be more willing to attend games and get into the sport.

    Et si M. Lavallée analyse le rapport de l'OCPM et trouve que c'est de la B.S.? Il pourrait recommander le projet au comité exécutif! Alors.. il y aurait des fortes chances que le projet soit approuvé, non? On peut toujours se croiser les doigts!

    Lionel Groulx détestait tout ceux qui n'étaient pas: 1. blanc et 2. catholique. Antisémitisme au maximum. Ce n'est pas du génocide, mais quand même. Si Amherst c'est une dose d'Héroïne, Lionel-Groulx c'est une dose de Méthamphétamine. T'as raison, c'est pas aussi sévère, mais c'est tout de même pas bon! Bref... il faut garder le standard. Encore une fois, je m'oppose aux changements points -- mais s'il faut le faire, qu'on le fasse partout - anglais ou français. Mais bon. L'idéal, ça serait que la saison du hockey recommence comme ça les gens vont avoir des choses plus importantes a discuter que des foutu noms de rues. GO HABS GO!

    Je pense qu'il y a des bonnes chances qu'on voit une belle tour monter sur le site prévu. Construction of the Louis Bohème sets something of a precedent. Les NIMBYs ne pourront pas chialler, la réplique du promoteur serait simplement: "Quoi, vous n'aimez pas qu'on construit une tour de 30 étages ici? C'est trop haut? On vient d'en construire une juste à côté : Le Louis Bohème!!"

    Il y a une bonne suggestion sur CJAD... enlever Amherst et remplacer par un nom Amérindien. Je suis toujours contre l'idée de changer Amherst, mais s'il fallait le faire, j'opterais pour un nom Mohawk! "sweet justice", removing an Indian killer and putting up some Mohawk chieftain up there! I would grudgingly tolerate that.

    Lol this guy called in and got upset at the host of the show because he called Amherst "bad" instead of something more sophisticated like "rotten". Anybody else listening to this? Comedy gold!

    Yarabundi, si tu étais sarcastique, et bien je retire mon accusation de condescendance... mais il faut que tu réalises que sur l'Internet, ça peut être très difficile de correctement identifier l'intention. Tu as voulu communiquer du sarcasme, mais l'Internet filtre tout -- fait attention!! -------------------------------------- En passant, d'ici quelques minutes, Dan Laxer de CJAD va discuter de ce sujet en directe sur la radio AM!     Wow. Franchement Yarabundi, tu parles d'une remarque condescendante!! C'est regrettable que t'utilises une telle formulation, je te croyais au dessus de ce genre de language! Surtout pour un gars de ton age, et surtout pour un gars qui critique souvent ce que je dis (parfois sans justification). Mais voyons donc... Non Yarabundi, je ne suis simplement pas d'accord. Ton point de vue n'est pas une vérité لabsolue, comme tu sembles insinuer. Quand tu craches sur mon opinion, tu craches sur celle des autres qui le partagent, incluant les autres qui ont posté sur ce fil. Pour toi, l'important c'est la justification du nom. Pour moi, c'est la présevation de l'histoire, qu'elle soit bonne ou mauvaise. Chacun son opinion, Yarabundi, mais ton attitude condescendante te fait perdre pas mal de points et de crédibilité à mes yeux.
