C'est fou... coincés entre le Villa Latella et les autres tours autours, les habitants des tours n'auront absoluement aucune vue, sauf du côté nord, qui n'est pas vraiment intéressante.

Reminds me of some parts of Manhattan and Brooklyn! This is the kind of development we need to see around all metro stations, and in the areas near downtown.

This is neither next to a metro station nor a train station. Actually, there's a good walk till the next bus stop (15 mins bus to the metro:eek:).

 

Its right smack next to the busiest highway and close to big box stores

 

On top of that, every unit has at least one interior parking space.

 

There's no social housing inside or around, no bike paths, no bixi.

 

And it's selling like hot bread on a morning.

 

What's wrong with this picture?

 

Nothing in my opinion, promoters are selling, people are buying, everyone is happy.

 

Ask the anti-car hippies at the Montreal mayorship why is this model working lol.

It is not far from Jean-Talon and the future expension of the Blue Line. There's been a lot of high density development on Jean-Talon and near les Galeries d'Anjou in the last years. I think it is time that the Blue Line finally reach Anjou.

Tu as bien raison que la clientèle de cet endroit n'a aucun problème à avoir un mode de vie axé sur l'automobile. C'est tant mieux, chacun à ses préférences, mais je ne vois pas en quoi ça remet en doute la pertinence des efforts pour d'autres types de transport. Probablement que bien des acheteurs de ce projet seraient un peu plus heureux s'ils avaient accès à un métro, à des pistes cyclables, et même à Bixi, malgré leur automobile. Tous ces services sont extrêmement populaires là où ils sont disponibles.

 

La mixité est si agréable, il faudrait arrêter de toujours voir une opposition entre les différents types de transport. Et puis, les positions extrêmes entraînent toujours une réponse extrême. Le Joker n'existerait pas sans Batman .
