The quality of that video is really top notch! The city looked so clean and orderly back then (yet very lively).

I bet you I could shoot the same kind of segments in Montreal 2010, and it would look as clean and orderly.

It's a question of choices, rather than reality.

C'est l'été, le temps de sortir les vieux films d'Elvis!

yes eaton centre is a public place. are you nuts?! ? .. lol .....

loving the 60s video .. really, amazing ... the soundtrack doesn't hurt either, really eerie ..

too bad there's no aerial shot of the downtown buildings (like the of one udm). looking at moving color images of the past is always special. i always keep thinking, what it will be for future generations of humanity, that will be able to look back hundreds of years - in full color and detail. ... ..

if follow the related videos to this one, there are other really nice ones of montreal in the 50s, 60s and 70s. a must see for anyone with a love for this city, whether they were there to witness it or not.

The have-not provinces are completely dependent on Alberta's "tar sands". Without the oil sands, non-Albertans would have to cut their beloved social programs, and trim down their civil service. Some people in this country are all too happy to attack Alberta yet still expect handouts.

Perhaps the have not provinces don't want Alberta's "dirty money" after all? It would be very interesting to watch them try to cope.

Peut importe que ce soit un complot des have not, ce qui se passe là est hautement dégeulasse.
